Marco was an excellent driver & knowledgeable all things Amalfi Coast. The trip kicks off from Sorrento which is about an hour train from Naples (which is what we did). Marco offered us special accommodations to take us to and from Naples but we wanted to take the ferry for more sightseeing. The trip takes you to 3 locations but since it is a private ride, you are free to make adjustments as needed - Marco made sure we felt comfortable the entirety of the trip. Besides the AMAZINGNESS of Marco, the Amalfi Coast is breathtaking. There are no bad sights/sites. My father said this was the HIGHLIGHT of our 10 day stay in Italy. We had a great tour throughout the Amalfi coast. Marco was a wonderful tour guide and created an enjoyable experience.

I don’t think there is any other way to tour Amalfi. Good luck renting a car or scooter and surviving the crazy driving, cliff side roads, and parking issues. Damage to cars and towing are very common if you don’t know what you are doing. Also, you are not guaranteed a seat on a bus. Lots of people have to wait as several full buses go by. Thankfully, with this tour you don’t have to worry about any of that. See all of Amalfi in one day with an experienced driver. Claudio was our driver. He is a gentleman and a scholar. He has 11 years of experience driving in Amalfi. He was also very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions and recommend places to stop to eat and see. He can book boat rides from his cellphone the day of for example. Amalfi is not what it was in the 60’s and 70’s. It is no longer a sleepy Italian coastline with just rich celebrities on the beaches. The age of Instagram has made this a desireable destination. As a result, it is better to see with an experienced driver as the other options are not practical.

Seeing the Amalfi Coast and stopping in so many different towns and villages for shopping. It was incredible and the driver was friendly and knowledgeable.

Our day trip to the Amalfi Coast was fabulous. Our tour guide/driver, Marco, was wonderful. He was an excellent driver, knowledgeable, informative, and a delight to be with. Marco was an amazing tour guide that made our Amalfi Coast tour experience as memorable as possible! Not only was he a great driver at navigating the windy roads of the coast, but he also was very knowledgeable about the area's rich history and Italy in general. He connected us to Tony (also a part of Compass Tours) who safely drove us to our train station the next day as well amidst heavy traffic. Overall great experience and recommend to any group looking for any tour guide in Italy!

This was one of the best tours we’ve had in Italy! Our driver Marco was so kind and we felt comfortable from the moment he picked us up from the hotel. He shared history, culture, and pointed out all of the amazing things to see along the Amalfi Coast. He is also a great photographer and captured wonderful memories for us. The ride was smooth and the itinerary was very flexible based on what we wanted to see and do and how much time we wanted to spend in each location. We enjoyed seeing Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, and with the limited parking I don’t think we would have been able to experience these places on our own. This was the highlight of our Amalfi Coast experience and is absolutely worth it! Grazie mille!

Claudio was an excellent guide, great stories, history and flexibility throughout the day. Take the boat ride in Amalfi, see the coast from a different perspective. Tony was responsive and communicating from when we booked the tour all the way until we got dropped off. We also booked a Herculaneum, Mt Vesuvius Winery tour and transfer from Sorrento to Naples with Tony and Compass Tours. Excellent company, would highly recommend.

We had wonderful experience during this tour we visited all the towns, Positano Amalfi and Ravello. Our guide Marco was knowledgeable and he gave us enough time to eat and drink.

Marco was AMAZING! We have been on a few guided tours this trip and this was by far our favorite. Marco made sure we did not miss a thing. From breath taking views to the interesting history of these beautiful coastal towns. We learned so much and had a wonderful time. Marco made sure we were all comfortable in the van at all times. He even made a restaurant recommendation in Ravello that was amazing. I would highly recommend Marco and this company if you are Sorrento. You will not be disappointed!

Tony took such good care of my family and I. He was very accommodating to my wife and kids request at all times. Never felt rushed during the whole tour. Marco was such a great tour guide. He offered so much history about the area, and also stopped at all the special places to take pictures. He was often concerned about our temperature inside the vehicle and the itinerary was very flexible based on any area we wanted to spend more time in. The roads going through Amalfi are very windy and narrow, but Marco managed the whole thing especially well, also while explaining the history of each area at the same time. We had plenty of time to walk around at each stop. He was able to answer any questions about the area that we had. He is extremely knowledgeable about Amalfi and the surrounding areas. Overall it was a great tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience with Marco as our Tour guide and driver. He picked us up promptly at our hotel and drove us with, sharing lots of information, to the coastal towns of the Amalfi Coast . He was able to adjust our itinerary to accommodate a visit to exactly what we wanted , and had good recommendations on how to spend our time. we enjoyed the flexibility of having a private driver who knew a lot about the destinations and helped us build the perfect itinerary for the day.

I highly recommend this tour/experience. My wife and I were picked up from our hotel in Sorrento and driven along the Amalfi Coast. Marco, our driver and new friend, gave us plenty of information along the way and educated us on Italian history of the Amalfi Coast and each town that we passed through. We enjoyed this solo tour because we got to ask Marco as many questions as we wanted to. On this tour you will have the opportunity to spend time in each larger city along the coast. We were able to shop in Positano and had plenty of time to get lunch in Amalfi. The views were unbelievable. It is as beautiful as advertised!

Amazing day on the Amalfi Coast! Marco was our tour guide and helped us navigate the windy roads, incredible views, and living history of Positano, Praiano, Ravello, and Amalfi. He picked us up in from of our BnB in Sorrento right on time (arrived a couple min early) and dropped us off in the afternoon after a wonderful day. Marco was very flexible with the timeline of the day based on our interests and had great recommendations for us at each stop along the way. Fantastic tour guide and very knowledgeable (from the history of the area, to the geography, to the people, to the local economy, Marco knew it all). The private ride in a Mercedes van was extremely comfortable. Leather seats, sliding side windows for perfect pictures on the go, and a panoramic sunroof. The tour company was communicative and responsive (thanks to Tony for reaching out to us the day prior to confirm logistics for pickup and timing). Highly recommended, will be keeping this company in mind for future excursions in the Naples/Sorrento region.
