The visit of Meteora was amazing. Pick-up in the morning was well organized thru satellite taxis, which brought people to the bus. Same for the way back. Everyone was punctual and reliable. There were lots of nice photo opportunities. The area of Meteora was sensational. The two visited monasteries were very well kept. The guides were very informed about history and art. It was a multi-lingual tour in English, French and Italian. Although there wasn’t a German guide on the tour, the guide for Italians (Dimitra) spoke German as well and gave her best to explain things in German, too. She was great. Lunch break was optional, which is always good when people come from different backgrounds. There were enough comfort stops. The souvenir shops at the monasteries are quite good. There is really no need to buy anything on the road. You can borrow a long skirt at the monasteries- no need to buy one if you forgot! This was an amazing day….very long day so be prepared for lengthy travel but very comfortable and honestly well worth the long hours!! This was an amazing day….very long day so be prepared for lengthy travel but very comfortable and honestly well worth the long hours!! I’ve never been anywhere quite like this before and is truly breathtaking and very spiritual The extra added experience for me personally was the trip too the toilet 🚻 I stupidly wore trousers leg jumpsuit so had too wear scarf like a skirt as the monasteries have strict dress codes and accompanying my makeshift skirt was my cardigan This was not good when tackling the Turkish style toilet 🚽🤦♀️ I would suggest researching what attire is suitable before going BUT 100% well worth it and would certainly go again The guide and drivers (as we had multiple) we great and the company Cretan were always keeping me informed and any little thing I could message them I also made some amazing friends on this trip which was an extra added bonus Certainly put this on your to-do listEin absoluter Tipp zur Besichtigung, nicht die Klöster alleine auf die Gegend ist grandios.
