Stop At: Vinh Long Province, Vinh Long Province, Mekong Delta
Vinh Long is well-known thanks to Cai Be floating market. It is not only the place for farmers to exchange these agricultural products with each other but also the place for business on the river and an attractive place for tourist do sightseeing. The green islands are also attractive places to tourists.
Cai Be is 136km southwest of Ho Chi Minh city. This alluvial region located on the Tien riverbank is home to such assorted fruits as bananas, oranges and mangoes.
Travel out of Ho Chi Minh City, enjoy the scenic journey along the national highway by green rice fields and the daily lives of the Vietnamese. Upon arrival in Cai Be, take a leisurely motor boat ride and visit the Cai Be floating market, an interesting style of market in the Mekong Delta.
Every day, the boats filled with fruits, vegetables and other local products anchor along the banks of the river, waiting for traders and customers. Additionally, you can see local people being selling, buying, and exchanging goods from their boats. Next, enjoy a nice trip by rowing the boat on the maze of shady canals to arrive at a local orchard in order to enjoy the fresh local tropical fruits.
Moreover, have a chance to understand the daily life activities of the local people at the handicraft villages. You will have a break and enjoy lunch at the orchard fruit garden. From here you will have a pleasant time riding bicycles to villages, sightseeing or relaxing on hammocks. Then continue on boat to Vinh Long city for a land market.
Lastly, meet the bus and return to Ho Chi Minh City.

We enjoyed the tour, although it was during lunar new year and most of the floating markets were not running. Multiple boat rides kept it interesting. Candy-making demonstrations were more interesting than expected and there was no pressure to buy anything. Lunch was above average. Tour guide ...
