I spend a lovely day in Kakheti with Kakha. We visited all the important places in this area like St.Nino's monastery, Sighnaghi ,a local winery called Okro's family cellar and tasted different types of wine and of course had Chacha Kakha knows all the right peoples in all these place and her knowledge about historical places are really commentable. On the outward journey through the glorious scenery of the Kakheti region we stopped for locally produced sweets , bread and cheese, and were able to see the bread being made in the traditional way. Then beautiful Bodbe convent, lovely Signagi (with lunch in the winery), and the impressive Chavchavadze house (with another winetasting). The return route took in the broad vistas from the Gombori Pass. Culture, countryside, tradition, food and drink - another perfect day with Vepkhia

We spent a lovely day touring the Kakheti region with Kakha. She was very personable and her knowledge about Georgian history and culture gave us additional insight into the places we visited. I liked that we were allowed to take things in at our own pace so we never felt rushed. Highly recommended.
