This tour was like nothing we have ever experienced. The views are breathtaking and because we went on winter, we could stand barefoot on the sand and stay out of the vehicle for as long as we wanted to take pictures. The camel riding is optional, for 20 to 50 QAR, depending on how much time you want to spend on it, which felt like 15min for us (50 QAR option). There is some adrenaline involved when going down the dunes, but nothing to be afraid of - is just the sensation, like a rollercoaster. Our guide was Hashmei, a really funny guy, but also very experienced, either in the ways of the desert, but also in explaining everything in the region for us. Once you arrive in the inland sea, you can have a meal (not included, but you can bring food) while sitting in the traditional carpet that your guide will set up for you. I suppose in the summer they will also set up a tent. If it's warm you can swim, but I'd suggest avoiding bikinis, because your driver is local and you don't want to be disrespectful. So, bring towels and an extra t-shirt if that is your plan. Lastly, Hashmei drove us to the top of a dune to wait for the sunset, which is a spectacle on its own. We really enjoyed being out there it is an experience worth to do multiple times our driver Sohail was great, he made everything ten time better.He is such a great person. He made sure that our experience is filled with excitement and joy.

He made sure that our experience is filled with excitement and joy.The kids loved driving on the sand dunes, enjoyed going for camel ride and holding falcon, playing in the dunes and sea. It exceeded our expectations. Our driver/host was punctual, friendly, and helpful, doing the little things to make sure we had a nice time. Highly recommended!
