Otto is a great English-speaking driver and tourguide for full day trip to Doi Inthanon Natl Park (8 hours door to door w hotel pick up). Careful driver in large new SUV. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Good sport too. Accompanied me on nature trail walks, which BTW are not at all challenging treks, and stops at various waterfalls and sites in the park. Tip: early departure best, we left hotel at 7 am and arrived summit by 8.45. In April it's cool at the top (14C) but by afternoon and at lower elevations it can get hot.Mariosname

I wanted to hire a 4WD for this trip, as we were heading to Doi Angkhang. Otto's Toyota Fortuner fits the bill perfectly - it was new, in superb condition, clean and well maintained. My wonderful experience with Otto started even before my trip. I had difficulty making reservations at Doi And Khang camp ground, and Otto via WhatsApp gave me the link to the national park website and even provided screenshots of how to navigate the website (which wasn't user-friendly as is typical with government website). That was my first clue that we would be in good hands. My wife and I arrived at CNX from BKK, and Otto picked us up from the airport. While we were still on the plane waiting to disembark, he sent a photo of him holding a placard outside the arrival hall to make sure we could identify him. It's these little things that makes Otto stand out. We spent the next 6 days traveling around Chiang Mai province with Otto, starting with Doi Angkhang up north, then Fang, Chiang Doi, Mae Kampong, Doi Inthanon, Doi Suthep, and finally Chiang Mai city. Throughout the trip, Otto's driving was excellent - safe, cautious and easy going. At my age, I am particularly sensitive to bad, jerky driving. Otto was anything but that. His driving was smooth, steady and comfortable, even up and down the windy mountain roads. Two thumbs up! Otto's English is above average. He is friendly, courteous and goes beyond the call of duty. I had a free and easy itinerary, and Otto was adaptable and flexible. By the end of the week, we got to know each other better and we now have a new friend in Chiang Mai.
