I was disappointed as it was not clear to me that this is a French company. This is a french tour guide operating out of France. He hops across the border to tour the Black Forest in Germany. He is not a local and therefore takes you to the most touristy places. Be aware.

I feel mislead by the description of this tour, which indicated that we would be visiting places "off the beaten track" and "away from the tourist trail." Instead, we mostly visited main points of interest in the area, as evidenced by the number of supersized tour buses that were unloading and loading at these places. This was disappointing. Nonetheless, the tour guide was very personable and shared a lot of interesting facts throughout the day; he did a great job driving and commenting along the way. However, he left us on our own at each stop; given the small-group nature of the tour (there were 3 of us) and the price, I would have expected at least some guidance on foot as well. In addition, the tour was billed as a way to see "hidden gems" and "lesser known places"; vexingly, much of the day was spent precisely at main tourist destinations. But one notable exception was the village of Staufen, which was lightly-visited, historic, scenic, quaint, and walkable. While I learned numerous things on this tour that I may not have learned otherwise, a bus tour would probably have visited the same places and would probably have cost quite a bit less. On the other hand, if you have a specific agenda in mind and you want to be chauffeured by a very personable and knowledgeable guide, you could customize this tour to your liking. As it was, this tour did a good job a hitting the main points of interest in the area, but it was definitely not "off the beaten track." The description of the tour should be corrected so as not to be misleading. The host was fantastic and went over and beyond to make our experience very personable and fun. The host was fantastic and went over and beyond to make our experience very personable and fun. The day was varied with a mixture of adrenaline fused activities, to hiking to relaxing and enjoying the scenery. We also went to vicinities not known to tourists and so we got a true experience of the German culture. Would recommend this experience to anyone.Guida simpatica, disponibile.
