Amazing experience
It was an amazing experience seeing the Valley of the Kings and the tombs. Pick up was reliable and friendly. The staff on the train were friendly too. You get see see Tutankhamen's mummy which was fascinating. The Hieroglyphics were interesting to see and you have the option to buy some professional pictures and DVDs which were really cheap. I really enjoyed the temples at Luxor and Kharnak, and both the East Bank and West Bank are an interesting contrast of the culture of the south of Egypt. The guide and driver were nice and Ahmed's Egyptology was really extensive and interesting to learn about. I was a solo traveller and I was looked after. It is an experience I will never forget and recommend if you want to visit the origins of the Pharaohs and the history of Egypt.
Such an amazing trip to luxor thanks to our guide Ahmed. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Anything we wanted to know, he was able to help with. Though the journey there is quite long being two overnight buses/trains. In some ways I imagine our substitute bus was better as it was about 3 hours shorter supposedly than the train was going to be. We booked this trip two days out and they were able to facilitate the tour from Cairo to Luxor. The price is steep, but after seeing the accumulated costs of entry tickets, bus tickets, lunch and the overall feel of the private tour which can be adjusted according to what you want to see more of etc. You will enjoy yourself going on this tour.
This was the most professional and most pleasant experiance in Egypt. Ahmed Gad has been a really great guide that made feel us really comfortable. Top notch service!
