One hour of staying if you decide to arrive with the cable car to Sass Pordoi (altitude of 2950 meters: the cable car is open from late May until mid-October and from Christmas to Easter).

Alessandro drove our group of six (including three teenagers) through some of the most stunning scenery any of us have ever witnessed. He was a perfect tour guide. He suggested an earlier start time to avoid rain that was forecast for the afternoon, and reorganized our route to avoid the crowds of high season. His timing was impeccable: it rained briefly while we were driving but was otherwise fine for our walks, and we beat the crowds everywhere we went. He brought us to many beautiful places but let us determine the length of time we would stay in each. A particularly thoughtful touch was providing water and warm jackets. Alessandro was very considerate of everyone’s comfort in the car, letting us know we could stop at any time if the hairpin turns became too much to take. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the South Tyrol area and answered our many questions with good humor, and even provided dining recommendations for Bolzano after the tour. I can’t recommend his tours highly enough. If any of us in our group ever have the good fortune to be in Bolzano again we would absolutely book his services for another outing. Thanks so much, Alex, for providing us with such a memorable experience! We absolutely loved our tour of the Dolomites. Alessandro was charming, friendly and so informative. We learned so much about the area and made a new friend in the process.

Wow. What a great experience. We did this tour from Venice. It is a little out of the way for Alex, but it was no trouble to be picked up and driven into the heart of the Dolomites. Alex was a most knowledgeable and attentive guide. He spoke good English, and helped us get the most out of our day. We were lucky to see a good sprinkling of late snow, and were captivated by the beauty of the lakes and landscapes. He took special care when one of our party was a little motion sick. Thank you Alex for a great day. We wish you all the best. We would highly recommend this tour with Alex. Paul RisitanoComfortable ride and friendly guide. The trip was relaxing in overall.
