Firstly this is not a theme park. Famous for films sets, Its a setting of a village in the wild west, with banks, saloon bar, hangmans gallows and all the buildings you expect from a 'western' set. We watched the gunfight in the saloon, which included some very loud bangs from the guns (some of the smaller children were a little frightened of the noise), show last about an hour and there was later show of a bank robbery later. You can pay for horse rides round the town. Its 20e entryWe were staying in Aguadulce and we were looking for something to entertain the children and we found this place and decided a visit. We were staying in Aguadulce and we were looking for something to entertain the children and we found this place and decided a visit. The experience was great fun, this cowboy town is in the middle of nowhere and as it’s was very hot, but the shows and the town was well worth the visit and very entertaining and they also have a swimming pool which is included in the price so take your swimming costume as you will enjoy a refreshing swim between shows. Food and drinks are available and not that expensive but you can take your own if you wish. The only negative thing i would say about it is if you don’t understand Spanish you wouldn’t get the full benefit of the cowboy show as the show it self is very good but if you understand Spanish it’s even better and very funny. The cost of the entry is reasonable and plenty of parking but i would try to get there before it opens as there was a queue to get in but a queue waiting in your car not standing in the sun so at least you were in the cool of your air conditioned car instead of out in the sun.Whilst planning a coast to coast trip Almiera to Cadiz, I just had to include this area of Tabernas famous for the film sets made in the 1960s for such spaghetti westerns as "Fist full of Dollars" and "For a few Dollars more". Whilst planning a coast to coast trip Almiera to Cadiz, I just had to include this area of Tabernas famous for the film sets made in the 1960s for such spaghetti westerns as "Fist full of Dollars" and "For a few Dollars more". I was surprised these sets had been maintained for the last 50 years and they were very impressive. You instantly felt you were south of the border down Mexico way and all the cliches of western bars, gold mines, honky tonk bars and saloons etc were there as well as churches and railway stations; even a hangmans gallows. For someone like me, brought up on Westerns, it was like being a kid again. I arrived at 'high noon', always the time for action in Westerns, just time for the western special played out in the saloon. Several cowboys and bar ladies of easy virtue made a fantastic 1 hour show with lots of fight action and VERY loud gunfire. Truly excellent and well worth the 20 Euros entry fee.2 shows realy fantastics; saloon as a real ! horseback in the village for a good rode , realy good day in far west !
