My partner and I had a half-day tour of Sarajevo focused on the war events of the 90s - the tour is called Fall of Yugoslavia and can be arranged privately if desired by calling or messaging the agency. Our guide, Alan, picked us up in his car right where we stayed and drove us around the city to significant landmarks and spots. We could not be happier with the way the tour went! Alan explained a lot of interesting facts to us, and patiently answered all our questions (and there were a lot!). He has been a knowledgeable and engaging guide without which we would not have had the opportunity to enjoy Sarajevo in all its beauty. The tour is highly recommended to everyone interested in finding out the reality of a horrible past, which effects are still felt to this day. Thank you Alan for this amazing day - hope we can be back for some more ice cream!

Excellent tour that I would highly recommend as a must do when visiting Sarajevo. Brilliant guide on the day Ago. He gave excellent insight and shared personal stories. Incredibly sad and inspirational. I particularly liked learning about the building of the tunnels.

Thank you Ago for a brilliant tour! It was the best afternoon but also some parts made me so sad with the stories of the war time and the struggles. Ago lived through the war as a child and he was amazing and so knowledgeable. An incredibly interesting afternoon, I learnt so much from Ago and will remember this afternoon for the rest of my life. I won't give too much away but this is a must do trip when you are in Sarajevo.

Our Meet Bosnia tour with Armina was life-changing and the highlight of our fantastic 12-day road trip around the Balkans. We arrived wanted to know more about the history and culture of this area and learned so much more than expected. To see and understand what happened during the siege of Sarajevo and the fall of Yugoslavia with people who lived through the events was poignant and brought the story to life. I would recommend this tour and our guide, Armina, to anyone who truly wants to learn and to understand how unbelievable situations can happen and what it takes to recover. it was quite nice. Our guide, Ahmed, did a great job at explaining the history and answering our questions. it was a nice ride also seeing Sarajevo from other angles.

We highly recommend this tour to everyone as it explains the atrocities of the war, what took place, where and most importantly – at a human level what people had to endure. The tour was very comprehensive and informative, providing useful historical context for the rest of our stay in B&H. It was great to check out iconic spots like the tunnels and luge track. Considering the duration it was also reasonably priced. There are some areas in which the tour could be improved. A lot of time is spent in the van and it would have been nice to walk around more. At times it felt like there was too much information being provided which made it tricky to follow/retain some of the content.

Meet Bosnia and I, episode 2 : 30 years after the war in Yugoslavia, the souvenir is still very much alive and one cannot understand the Bosnians without getting to know this particular period of history. The tour gets you to the different places and the explanations of the guide, Adnan, were very complete and helpful to get to this point. Especially getting all around Sarajevo along the frontline makes you understand under which conditions the inhabitants of the city were held during the nearly 4 years of the siege. All my respect to the people who had to suffer this and still live it in their flesh and bones. Are they seeking revenge? No, they share it in its most human way : tell the story!

I joined 3 tours with 'Meet Bosnia'. The free Sarajevo city tour with Arna. It was just the two of us walking around Baščaršija. It was a really good introduction. Arna was so welcoming and she introduced me to locals throughout the tour, which felt so wholesome. My favourite tour was with Adnan for the 'fall of Yugoslavia'. Adnan was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Bosnia and Sarajevo's history. The Travnik and Jajce tour with Kenan was an amazing trip to see central Bosnia. The natural landscape of this region is amazing. Kenan was also very knowledgeable and friendly. I would be happy to book again with 'Meet Bosnia' and recommend. I've been happy with my experiences with the company.

Adnan was a superb tour host. Extremely informative and passionate about the subject matter. Felt very safe in the minibus with him driving and explaining as we went along. Would definitely recommend.

We went on the tour knowing little bits of information but returned having learned a whole lot more in an unbiased sense. Adnan spoke brilliant English and was very passionate and patient with us because we had lots of questions. The tunnel especially was very educational and we didn't realise how important it was. Loved the end part too at the bobsleigh track. A perfect trip and worth every penny in our opinion.
