Overview
**All participants will be required to wear a mask in any instances where you will be in close contact with others. Please bring your own masks and hand sanitizer as we will have a limited supply for those who forget. You will also be asked to sign an acknowledgement of risks and report any illness within 14 days of tour.** Since 1998, our naturalist guides have taken over 100, 000 people into the Smokies to experience the sea of mountains. Experience these ancient treasures up close on this once in a lifetime trip! Your tour guides may include a former Park ranger, a former Appalachian Trail Thru Hiker, or biologist and geologists.

- This tour requires a 2 person minimum to operate. If you are traveling solo, you may join into an existing tour or pay the 2 person rate.
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

Great hike, perfect trail, very peaceful. We had a couple options for the trail and we are glad we chose the one less travelled! Our guide, Charles, was very informative and knowledgeable. Would book again with A Walk in the Woods.

We took this tour with Ken on October 8 & had a great time. After meeting at the Sugarlands Visitors Center we made a short drive to the trailhead & then started our walk along the Little River. Ken was extremely knowledgeable about the trail & the park so we learnt a lot. Granted we could have...
We took this tour with Ken on October 8 & had a great time. After meeting at the Sugarlands Visitors Center we made a short drive to the trailhead & then started our walk along the Little River. Ken was extremely knowledgeable about the trail & the park so we learnt a lot. Granted we could have done the hike on our own, but we wouldn’t have known the park history at all. Well worth doing to learn how the Great Smoky Mountains became a National park.
