A must for anyone visiting the Mt. Fuji area. My guide Tada was very knowledgeable and friendly. The cave itself is huge and you get to explore it in its entirety. Time did fly by and I wish the tour lasted just a little bit longer.

After being picked up at the station, we got coverals. The advice was to wear warm coats, but I would suggest to wear a sweater and leave your coat in the car, as it can be hot if you are not used to climbing over rocks. After a beautiful walk through the forest, with nice information about the surroundings and the wildlife, the decent into the ice cave begins.
The guide leads the way through the dark cave, over patches of ice and rocks, between beatiful ice stalagmites and stalactites. With warnings and guidance, we got to a ice plain in the cave. It was an extremely cool trip for us.

This trip was the highlight of our vacation to Japan. The Aokigahara Forest was a beautiful sight to behold in the winter and the ice cave exploration was amazing. Our guide Tadasuke was the best. He speaks fluent english and explained everything to us. The tour was super personal as it was only my husband and myself. That day. We also lucked out as it was a beautiful +16C day and we also got to see Mount Fuji. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to truly remember Japan.
Thanks Tadasuke! You are the best.

We had a fantastic time exploring the ice cave and walking through the forest with our guide, Tada. He was careful to ensure that we were never in any danger despite the tricky terrain. He was patient and had many entertaining stories, as the forest was his playground.

Logistics-wise, everything went perfectly too. We were offered hotel pick up and drop off, and all gear was provided. We only needed a good jacket to keep us warm and good trekking shoes that were waterproof.

Tada was an amazing tour guide - he’s super knowledgeable about Aokigahara Forest and the Ice cave and has an amazing humour which made the whole experience so enjoyable. Tada is very experienced and made sure we were all good, provided all the safety gear and showed that he really knows what he’s doing. The tour was super fun, especially if you love the tranquility of forests and nature. Absolutely recommend to anyone of all ages.

The Aokigahara forest was beautiful with a fresh snowfall crunching underfoot. The ice cave which is a collapsed lava tube, was pretty eith all its icicles growing from the ceiling. Although the path is uneven and because of ice slippery so had to tread carefully. It was quite exilerating. Our guide, Tada, was very informative and friendly. He also speaks good English. Highly recommend this walk and cave experience. Ps - very cold so be prepared.

Tada (Omori)’s English was excellent. The cave he took us was rustic and not touristy. My elderly Japanese parents and 9 and 11 year old boys as well English speaking husband all enjoyed it! Short and sweet! The only thing is that if you have older people who can’t climb down and up a ladder might have some difficulty. In the winter (we had snow and it was icy) could be slippery. Definitely worth your money!

Really exciting to see the Aokigahara and the ice cave. Bring good waterprooof shoes. Really good guide, lots of knowledge, experience (he climed Fuji 32 times ... In 2019) and he was nice and funny! I really recommend this tour. Stay the night and dont do a daytrip like I did, its too short.

We signed up to be part of a tour group. However, as it was winter, there were fewer tourists who chose this tour. Eventually, both of us had a private tour. Our guide was Tada from The Highest Peak. He picked us up on time at Kawaguchiko station. He drove us for about 20 minutes where we reached another parking bay and we had time to change into our jumpsuits. Jumpsuits kept us warm as caving in the forest would be cold. Tada started the tour somewhere in the centre of the forest. It was quiet and no one was there except us at that time when we reached. We had our gear all set. After walking inside the forest for a while, we reached the wind cave. We went down into the cave and noticed the ice form in the cave. It was a great experience. Just take your time to go down and come up from the cave. The temperature was not too low so it was nice. We had an enriching experience and learnt many interesting facts from our guide.

My boyfriend and I was the only 2 on the tour and wow what a fun experience.. we were very lucky to have clear skies to view mt Fuji as you stop close to the forest to change in your overalls at a pit stop with an amazing view of the mountain.. The forest was so beautiful and the cave even in the season without ice was still amazing. The best part of this tour though was the host Tada! He speaks great English and is very easy to talk to and have a conversation with, he was very funny and could tell how passionate he is about his home town so we got to hear awesome stories about Fuji. I would highly recommend this tour and next time we visit japan again we will be booking Tada to climb the mountain with.

We booked this tour during the off peak season so it felt like a private tour of the forest and cave. Our guide, Mr Tada, was very knowledgeable about the forest. The hiking and cave exploring were interesting and we learnt many new things about the Aokigahara forest. I highly recommend this tour to friends and family who love nature. Come with an open mind, be ready to exercise and you will love it like we do. I am not going to spoil the fun of cave exploring- so no photos of the cave. You will come see it for yourself! :) We would like to thank Mr Tada for taking care of us and giving us this wonderful experience.
