One of most iconic views of Mt- Fuji has to be the mountain reflected on the surface of Lake Kawaguchi, and what better way to admire it as well as enjoying the beautiful, natural surroundings of the lake than by hoping on an authentic Canadian canoe and spending two hours paddling on the lake. There are three ways you can experience this activity.
Canadian canoe experience:
You will join a small group accompanied by a qualified and experienced instructor, trained in First Aid response who will assist and guide you throughout the activity, making it easy to learn and providing a safe experience even for beginners, and people of all ages.
Alternately, if you are experienced in canoeing, or have completed the Canadian canoe experience, you can take on the challenge of canoeing by yourself, while still benefiting from the instructor's knowledge and guidance, by paddling solo, you will have more freedom to explore and enjoy the lake at your pace.
Canoe guided cruise:
Finally, if what you are most interested in is the view and the pleasant trip on the lake, you can also join this activity where the guide will paddle and provide commentary about the area as you sit and relax while taking in the natural landscape. This activity is available for up to two people. Note that you will not paddle the canoe in this option.
No matter your preferred style, this is a unique way to experience the area and enjoy nature. The activity is available all year round, with each season offering a unique landscape for you to enjoy. Also if weather permits it, you can step on the inhabited island in the middle of the lake known as the 'island of the cormorant', an aquatic bird native to the area.
Don't miss the chance to reconnect with nature and enjoy that beautiful landscape of Mt. Fuji reflected on the lake as you actually paddle on it, in company of your family, friends or that special someone.
