The ruins were great but the time at the shopping outlet was a bore. I do understand that the local people need the money but I would not ever choose to go to such a place.

Ek Balam is far less crowded than other sites. Our guides were courteous and knowledgeable. The cenote offered rappelling and zip lining which were both really fun. I enjoyed not having to wear a mandatory life jacket like we've had to at other cenotes.

Don't miss out on climbing up the Ek Balam pyramid before it's not allowed anymore! A hidden gem among the many tours offered in the area. Our guide Alejandro was knowledgeable, nice, attentive and a true gentleman. Note that you should bring comfortable shoes (not flip flops) a towel, snacks for the long car rides (2/3 hours each way coming from Cancun) and all the sun protection.

We loved having a small group, and our tour guide Tonantzin was wonderful. Our family had two incredible adventures: climbing to the top of the Acropolis at Ek Balam, and rappelling into a very large partially closed cenote. Lunch was delicious and we appreciated having a vegan option after asking ahead of time. One thing we were not expecting was to pay $125 USD for the pictures in the cenote and of the Mayan ceremony, which they email to you. That was to buy them all, they did offer to buy one picture for $20. The pictures are taken by students, and it helps to support their education. I’m very happy we decided to buy them and to me it was well worth having the family photos.

These ruins are worth a visit especially if you're on your way to Chichen Itza or you're spending some time in cancun. The price was a little bit high for admission and the main Temple was about 80% unaccessible at the writing of this review. The entrance Gateway is impressive so definitely take the time to see this one. Bathroom and water is available on site

Booked the tour to Ek Balam with Sunwing via Alltournative tours. Long drive but amazing, the rapelling into cenote incredible, the ruins tour was great, very very hot on May 1st. You can still climb the main pyramid. Much less crowded compared to Chichen Itza. Also the mayan blessing at the start was quite nice, almost felt like a religious experience. Thanks!!

Eli was a great guide. Repelling into the cenote was fun and something we haven’t done at the other ones. Lunch was tasty and visit to the ruins was wonderful. We enjoyed being able to climb the structures there which is not allowed most places now. Thank you!

Pablo ( our guide ) and Eddi our driver were fantastic. The swim in the cenote was incredible and repelling down 90 m was the thrill. Be ready for a long drive in the shuttle, but trust me, this trip is so worthwhile. The food served by the wonderful Mayan people was sooooo good and they are so friendly and gracious. Bring water containers because you will need it especially when you make the climb up the steps in the heat. Pablo’s knowledge as a guide was remarkable and Eddi is a rockstar when it comes to driving. This is a trip, not to be missed. Note. It says continental breakfast and drinks are served on the shuttle but this did not happen. Eat a good breakfast before you embark. The lunch is very very good but we skipped breakfast and were very hungry when we got there. Would have been a perfect rating if not for this.

I REALLY enjoyed our tour guide Aldo, from Alltour Native, he was so personable and very knowledgeable about the entire trip. I really enjoyed learning some of the history beyond Ek Balam, one of the beautiful Mayan ruins in Mexico. The Cenote was very cool too, all in all if you come to Mexico I strongly suggest taking this tour and hopefully you'll be lucky enough to meet Aldo.

Driver/ tour guide took out frustrations on group and didn’t seem to want to be there. Without him the tour the sites and food were great!

This place is magic! You feel a bit like Indiana Jones as these ruins are still in very good shape and are surrounded by jungle. You are even (still) allowed to climb the pyramid up to the very peak. It is the second highest pyramid on whole Yucatan. Even though the entrance fee is rather high (~450 mex.Pesos), it is definitely worth a visit!

We really enjoyed this trip. Luis was a great tour guide he was very attentive to our needs. He always checked in with us to see if we needed anything and he shared information throughout the tour. The driver Ricardo was very nice also, he stopped for us to use the restroom when we needed. The cave was gorgeous and I'm glad we chose this tour. I used this company for two different tours, this tour was fantastic the other one was awful. This tour guide made all the difference.

The Cenote was amazing - we even rappelled and zip lined. The Ek Balam was incredible - can't believe we climbed to the top, but so glad we did! Our tour guide/driver was so very good - could not have asked for better. At Ek Balam the Mayan guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history. Very professional and personable staff all around. Wow!

Long ride. The driver was almost falling asleep on the way back. Was told there was continental breakfast. No bottled water. For that long of a journey there should be bottled water

We really enjoyed our day trip to Ek Balam and a ceynote with Pepe/All Tours Native. He really was informative about the Mayan Culture and even showed us illustrative movies to help us understand and visualize even more the information he gave us. We then went on to the ceynote where it was refreshing especially after climbing Ek Balam. Pepe was very personable and really conveyed his enthusiasm to all of us. I highly recommend taking this tour and we are glad we had Pepe as our guide.
