Meet your private guide at Dubrovnik’s cruise ship port, and then climb inside your air-conditioned transfer vehicle and enjoy a leisurely journey to the base of Mt Srđ, the 1, 352-foot (412-meter) mountain that towers over the city.
As you travel, ask your guide any questions you have; the beauty of a private tour is that the commentary is tailored to your interests.
Stop At: Mount Srd, Dubrovnik Croatia
On arrival, board a cable car for a panoramic ride up the side of Mt Srđ.
Take in the stunning aerial views of the city and the Dalmatian Coast as you ascend the mountain. At the summit, step out of the car and gaze out at the jaw-dropping views from the two panoramic terraces — it is said that on a clear day you can see sights up to 37 miles (67km) away.
Spend a few moments snapping photos, and then perhaps head to the snack bar or restaurant to refuel with a drink and some food (own expense). There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy gifts, if you so wish.
After exploring the summit, hop back inside the cable car for your return trip down Mt Srđ.

Back on the ground, follow your guide to Dubrovnik Old Town.
As you meander through the maze of cobbled streets and narrow passageways, learn of the area’s rich cultural and historical significance. See the circular Onofrio's Fountain and amble past Sponza Palace. Walk across the main square to see the Baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, which was rebuilt in the 18th century following an earthquake. Other highlights include Rector’s Palace and the Church of St Blaise.
After your 1-hour walking tour, take up to 2 hours of free time to explore the Old Town on your own. When you are ready to return to port, hop back inside your transfer vehicle and return to the port in time for your cruise departure.

The tour review stated we would have driver and guide for this 6 hour tour. Our guide was only with us for 3.5 hours and our driver picked us up at the port and dropped us off at the cable car entry. Unfortunately the weather did not permit us to go up the cable car so we went to downtown. Our guide walked us around for about 3 hours and learned the cable car opened back up so we walked to the cable car where our guide said her good bye and reminded us to meet at the Hilton parking area for our driver to pick us up at 4:00. We called at 4:30 and was finally picked up at 4:45 pm. This was a very poor tour. You can take a taxi for around $20 euro, ride the cable car for $10 euro pp. Walk around town on your own. no need to pay this outrageous price. We did complain and after several emals were credited a small amount. This tour is advertised as a private, 6-hour shore excursion and the description implies that a private tour guide accompanies you for the full 6-hour period. Nowhere does it state otherwise. Buyer beware: this is not the case! In reality, our guide was with us for just 48 minutes. We were picked up by a driver at the cruise port and dropped at Old Town where we met our guide. It was then that we did a brief walking tour of Old Town. At the end of the walking tour, the guide handed us our cable car tickets and showed us how to get there, and then to our surprise, she was on her way. We rode the cable car and toured the summit of Mt Srd on our own (took about an hour including the cable car ride) and then went and got lunch on our own (also took about an hour). When we were done, we called the driver and he came to drive us back. In total, we were on the tour for about 3.5 hours (not including approx. 40mins of travel time between Old Town and the Cruise Port) and only 48 minutes of it was with the tour guide... a far cry from "6 hours." My advice: save the money and do this port on your own. You can purchase cable car tickets for ~$20-25 USD each and take a taxi to/from the cruise port for ~$30 USD. There is no fee to enter and tour Old Town.

There were 6 in our group, and we were picked up by a driver who drove us to the bottom of the cable car where we met our guide Marina. The cable car was not running due to heavy winds, so Marina arranged for us to be driven to the top of the cable car after our city tour so we could still enjoy the view. Marina gave us a 1.5 hour walking tour of the old city, giving us much interesting historical information, showing us specialty shops that we never would have seen on our own and taking us to a coral shop with a demonstration. Since she also did the Game of Thrones tour, she worked much of the Game of Thrones sites into our tour, which made the fans in my group happy. It was obvious that Marina was very proud of her country and it's history. Marina was delightful. During our tour, she pointed out several restaurants so that we were able to enjoy a wonderful lunch and then had some free time before we met the driver again.

We were supposed to be picked up and dropped off at the cruise port but we docked in Old City so didn't even need the car. We had a 1 hour walking tour and a 40 minute car ride to makeup for the cable car. Not worth it at all!
