Our guide Marie Therese was a veritable font of information. She knew every story behind each painting, ceiling or tile. Her knowledge and love of art & history were apparent. This tour was amazing!!! And Sara was amazing!! We considered touring these places ourselves which would have been incredible on our own, but Sara knew so many details and interesting stories, and pointed out small things that we would never had notices on our own that made it sooooo much more interesting and profound!! I cannot recommend this enough!!!

Sabrina was a wonderful guide. She obviously has extensive knowledge of the site and I feel like we only got to hear a small portion of what she knows about it with the time we had. 10/10 would go again.

This was our first time to Venice and we are so glad we booked this tour! What a tremendous tour of the Doge’s Palace and then St Mark’s Basilica with Adriana as our guide. She had a great personality and with a history major background, she was very informative and provided us much detail that I am certain other tour guides would not provide. Sitting in the Basilica as the lights came up was simply breathtaking! Don’t hesitate to take this tour and ask for Adriana if you can! It was worth every penny.

We really enjoyed the after hours tour of Saint Mark's and Doge's Palace. Sabrina was a very knowledgable guide and obviously loved these sites (especially Saint Mark's Cathedral. Seeing the Cathedral lit up at night was absolutely beautiful. We were worried about the timing of this tour (5 pm meeting time) as it was scheduled to be four hours and we like to have our dinner. No worries. We toured Doge's Palace and then had a little over an hour for a meal break before we started the Cathedral tour. Being at St Mark's Square, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We followed Sabrina's advice and went a few streets off the Square where we had a delicious dinner at a little restaurant. Highly recommend this tour and LivItaly.

This was an incredible tour. Got a more of less private visit of the Doge’s Palace and San Marco without crowds and crowds of people. My neck is sore from looking up for two hours! Nico was very knowledgeable and passionate about his subject and super friendly and fun to hang out with. Highly recommend!

I went on 2 tours with Nico in Venice in July 2023. The first was an evening tour of the Doge’s Palace and the second was a nighttime tour of Church of San Marco. The tour of the Doge’s Palace was after most other tourists had left the building and the tour of San Marco was when the church was closed to visitors except for a few semi private tour groups. This made both our tours feel like they were private tours with only us in the buildings. Both tours were fabulous and exceeded my high expectations. We visited some areas not normally seen by large tour groups. Nico is a very friendly personable person who, because of his vast knowledge and experience, was able to explain in an entertaining way, the history of Venice and how these two buildings fitted into the economic and political life of the Republic through the centuries. Nico had lots of stories to tell that ensured everyone was kept interested during the tours. In short Nico is a great guide

The tour we had was fantastic! Nico, our tour guide, was excellent in sharing the history, stories, and political, social, architectural and artistic information about Venice, the Doge’s Palace and San Marco. The size of the group was ideal and whilst Nico covered a lot of information the entire tour was well prepared, thorough and insightful. And Nico was truly engaging, enthusiastic and entertaining. The tour of the Doge’s Palace was fascinating and having it at the end of the day really did mean that there were hardly any other visitors there, so it was in reality a private tour. The after hours visit to San Marcos Basilica was an amazing highlight. I had visited it before but this night experience with the small group was awesome. I feel like I have a deeper understanding of the history of the cathedral, but was it even more amazing to see the true splendour of the mosaics and the building itself. My partner and I would highly recommend this tour. Every part was well organised, the tour organisers made sure that we were well informed, and special recognition goes to our tour guide Nico whose breadth of knowledge and his personable and entertaining presentation skills made this a remarkable experience.
