You come into a mini waterfall and into a very relaxing spot, perfect if it's your first time and you feel a bit anxious, the guys who brief you are very cool and they explain the entire deal before you even get into the wetsuit. Bentejui was my guide and he got me to dive by myself! It's certainly an experience everyone should try out, even though the water temperature was about 20 degrees, you forget the cold almost immediately! My partner and I have diving in several locations around the world, and I booked this as a birthday treat. Not what I expected. Lots of hanging around, split up, and to be honest no fun! Probably better if booked at resort as they struggled to recognise my trip advisor booking!

I am what they call a panic diver... I start to breath like a spastic child when I can't stand on my feet in the endless ocean anymore so I was not planning to go diving... But as friends tend to do, they persuade me into this life risking water activity. Luckily for me, Rutger (I hope I wrote his name correctly as I sure could not pronounce it) immediately sensed my anxiety and focused on me making sure I'd feel safe and secure. His everlasting smile and positivity throughout actually made me enjoy the dive!I came to Gran Canaria without knowing that it would change my life. I came to Gran Canaria without knowing that it would change my life. I have always been close to the ocean and its animals, but never really had the chance to actually become one with the underwater environment. That all changed when I met Alfredo who is working at the Delphinus Diving School. In the beginning, I was very nervous, but his calmness and passion for diving directly influenced me. In a very well prepared briefing, he explained to me the whole underwater environment of Gran Canaria while never forgetting to link it to diving and the safety measures you have to think about when diving. While diving he was always right next to me, holding my tank while pointing out interesting sea creatures that we have talked about before. It was unbelievable. Breathing underwater, being in a new world with a dive instructor who really knows his environment. Alfredo showed me a new world, which I felt more than comfortable to discover with him. While we saw crazy animals, like angle sharks and seahorses, he never forgot to ask me how I was feeling. Everybody who has the chance should go to Delphinus to start diving today as all of the people made a very trustworthy impression. Ask for Alfredo if you are comfortable with English or Spanish as his South American attitude, combined with his environmental and diving knowledge, will result in an experience you will never forget!
