This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: ScooTours Denver Scooter Rental, 1417 California St, Denver, CO 80202-4212
We provide the 50cc motor scooter, helmet, eye protection (or you can wear your glasses or sunglasses), sunscreen, rain poncho, training, and as many practice laps as you need before we go zooming. We have an excellent safety record and it is very important that each person:
• Be at least 18
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have a credit card for security deposit
• Currently be a confident bicycle rider
• No intoxicants before or during your ride
• One person/scooter
There are no stops for food or water during the tour so feel free to bring a water bottle. Most of the time, the group doesn't need to stop for a bathroom break either, but will if necessary.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th St, Denver, CO 80202-3221
Our first tour stop is always the Big Blue Bear at the Colorado Convention Center. It is Denver's favorite piece of public art. We'll talk about the history of public art in Denver. We'll talk about, but not visit, Denver's LEAST favorite piece of public art. We'll discuss the artist and the history and the meaning of "I SEE WHAT YOU MEAN" before reminding each rider how to stay in formation and remain safe.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: City and County Building, 1437 Bannock St, Denver, CO 80202-5337
As always, our tours vary and we cannot stop at each tour stop on each tour. We would quickly become bored and so would our guests. But sometimes we stop at the City and County Building and talk about Civic Center Park, the artwork in the park, the art piece called "East to West: Source Point, " the Pioneer Fountain, and the origins of the City of Denver.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Colorado State Capitol, 200 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80203-1776
Unless there is an active protest or demonstration, we like to visit the steps of the Colorado Capitol for a beautiful view of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. We also like to borrow your camera for a photo of you standing on Denver's iconic 15th step, engraved ONE MILE ABOVE SEA LEVEL.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Molly Brown House Museum, 1340 N Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO 80203-2417
Each tour is conducted a little bit differently and we can't go to every spot listed above so the guide will pick several. Some groups like the guide to emphasize architectural features and styles. Others like the oversized public art. We will ride carefully as a group to each stop, pull up safely on the sidewalk, and then spend two-to-ten minutes talking about the interesting aspects. The group will mostly ride on side streets, but occasionally be on a multi-lane road. Your guide will adjust to the riding ability of the group, so the number of stops will vary. Molly Brown was a pretty cool lady. Some of our guests are interested in her.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Capitol Hill Mansion Bed & Breakfast Inn, 1207 Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO 80203, USA
This corner has some great mansions. Capitol Hill is full of them. Carl runs the best Bed and Breakfast in Denver with his daughter Bailey. We don't get to sample his superb freshly baked pastries though so why are we mentioning them? In case you are looking for a place to stay. This is an excellent choice.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Colorado Governor's Mansion, 400 E 8th Ave, Denver, CO 80203-3625
It's a pretty building with some great history. Our governor is always allowed to live here. Our current governor does not. Our last one mostly did not. The one before that did not. It is mostly used for events that harvest money from lobbyists. Correction: It is mostly used for state government events. Forgive the typo. The Grant-Humphreys Mansion is also here at Governor's Park.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Cheesman Park, 8th Ave & Franklin St, Denver, CO 80206
Yes it is true that it used to be a cemetery. Good stories. Beautiful park. Seldom outright nudity. But sometimes it is close.
Duration: 10 minutes
Pass By: Cherry Creek North, 2401 E 2nd Ave, Suite 150, Denver, CO 80206-4735
Nice shopping district. Sometimes we ride through so we can smell the delicious burgers at Cherry Cricket. But there isn't a lot to see here and there aren't many stories to tell about it. Lately we go here less often. But sometimes our customers tell us they are interested in upscale retail so we swing through.
Stop At: Washington Park, S. Downing St. & E. Louisiana Ave, Denver, CO 80209
One of the nicest parks in a city full of very nice parks. Sometimes we go into this neighborhood so we can swing by our own house to see how the flowers are blooming and what our neighbors are up to. This is a very typical Denver neighborhood experiencing very significant change. The bungalows, built in the 1920s, were having second stories added to them about 15 years ago. Now, if an old lady moves out of one of the 1000 square foot traditional houses, it is quickly scraped and a 3000 square foot $2.5 million house replaces it. Ka-ching! The park is large and flat and very very popular with real live Denverites.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Country Club, Denver, CO, USA
Nice neighborhood. Beautiful homes. Interesting stories.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: City Park - Denver, Colorado Blvd. and York St., Denver, CO 80205
Large, beautiful park. Lake. Playgrounds. Museum. Zoo. Fountains. Sculptures. Artwork. It is a great place to ride. There are a few interesting stories also.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 N Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80205-5798
The guided tour portion will be at least 90 minutes but our intent is to be out two hours. The group will go to as many places as fit comfortably. Before leaving, the group will have a significant amount of time dedicated to teaching each person how to ride the scooters safely and how to ride in a group, so plan to dedicate 3 hours total. After the tour, many people do not want to stop the most fun part of their visit to Denver, so they continue on their scooters for the rest of the day and explore by themselves (by special arrangement, extra charge applies).
Stop At: Five Points, Denver, CO, USA
Long the center of African American culture in Denver, it now represents a microcosm of our population. We'll discuss the history of jazz centered here, redlining, and gentrification. We will not be able to solve all of the challenges of housing prices, gentrification, traditions and neighborhood identity during our tour.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: RiNo Art District, 3501 Wazee St Suite 109, Denver, CO 80216-3784
If we don't go to this neighborhood, we try to show various murals around the rest of the city. But this is such a fun neighborhood for our customers to explore and eat and drink after our tour that we like to show it off. Murals on every block and in every alley. The Colorado Crush Crushwalls.Org mural festival has been centered here for 11 years so far.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: LoDo, Lower Downtown, Denver, CO 80202
Small group tours begin at the Big Blue Bear, Denver's favorite piece of public art. We include stops at a few of the following Denver locations: Lower Downtown (LoDo), Denver Highlands, Colorado Convention Center, Coors Field, Denver Union Station, Denver City and County Building, Colorado State Capitol, Molly Brown House, Governor's Mansion, Cheesman Park, Capitol Hill Mansion Bed and Breakfast, Denver Country Club's Reed Castle, Cherry Creek North, Denver Art Museum, City Park, Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Stop At: Coors Field, 2001 Blake St At 20th St, Denver, CO 80205-2060
Go Rockies! Our ball park might be the reason you are coming to Denver. It is a great place to come see your favorite team win. Hey, it's a rebuilding year for the Rockies. Again.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Denver Union Station, 1701 Wynkoop St, Denver, CO 80202-1047
Refurbished a few years ago. Fun place to hang out. Interesting history.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Confluence Park, 2250 15th St, Denver, CO 80202
This is where Denver began in 1858. Cherry Creek flows northwest through Denver and here it joins the north-flowing South Platte River. The South Platte river then continues east out of town and eventually into the Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico.
Duration: 5 minutes
Pass By: Larimer Square, 1430 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80202-1739
Denver's oldest block. Really a pretty spot. Remember, old for Denver is 1870s.
Pass By: 16th Street Mall, 16th St, Denver, CO 80202
Just as we return, we cross the 1.3 mile pedestrian mall that is sometimes called Denver's Main Street. We'll point out a chain restaurant or two or ten that will make you feel at home.
Pass By: Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 1900 California St, Denver, CO 80202-3825
Sometimes on our way back, we pass this beautiful church framed by a green glass skyscraper. It is a favorite sight of ours. We usually don't stop.

We got into Denver and needed a way to fill the afternoon. The guided scooter tour was absolutely perfect! David and his wife are amazing owners / hosts!! They took time to teach us everything we needed to know about riding the scooters and made sure we were completely comfortable. David asked what we were interested in and what we wanted to see, he really took the time to channel it to us. We really loved getting to see the city on the scooters and learn all the reasons why David loved his city. We really went all over and learned so much! It was the perfect intro to our weekend! Would highly recommend to anyone!Certainly worth checking out. Loved being able to zip about Denver and the option to rent the scooters for the rest of the day after the tour.
