The guide took us through the wilds just north of Denali Park, the mountains always in the background. Sun, rain, wet or dry, nothing stops the all-terrain vehicles they provide. The Guide entertained us with the history of the trail & region. You could almost see the pioneers camping in the next clearing. Surely, this was from the guide's grandpa told in person? Wildlife? It was mid-June of 2019, almost record heat. The smart animals stay hidden, but we were warned it wasn't the best day for sightings. The tour lived up to all the hype. At the end, we got to walk across the permafrost, nothing like I've ever experienced. My son will be telling stories to his grandkids someday about his trek through the Alaskan wilds near Denali, the Big One! We had a blast!Enjoyed the tour of the back country. Enjoyed the tour of the back country. Make sure to dress appropriately as our day was very chilly and drizzly ! Nate and Steve were very friendly and informative about the area and it’s history. Learned so much about Alaska ! Fun, bumpy ride through the back roads of Stampede Rd. in a Swedish military vehicle ! Great to have a cup of hot coffee and wonderful Blueberry muffin at the conclusion of the trip ! Super friendly guys and worth the cost.Disappointing Just a bumpy ride on muddy road. Also about stupid people who tried to see “the bus” from INTO THE WILD ( which was NOWHERE near this road) We did see a ptarmigan and several groups of hunters. But NOT the back country adventure as advertised. We took the 13 hour tour as far into Denali as possible (92 miles). It was amazing. Saw 13 grizzlies, moose, caribou, dall sheep and a huge black bear. The fall colors were amazingly beautiful. The driver stops for all wildlife sightings and at request for photo ops. The driver stops for all wildlife sightings and at request for photo ops. Lunch in Kantishna was fair. In my opinion this is the best way to see Denali.Travis and Stephen made this a really fun and exciting tour. We saw 5 moose in total on our excursion. Stephen provides great information on the area, and all it has to offer. I would recommend going as early as possible in the morning. Great staff and fun way to get the day started.

The guides all had a ton of knowledge about the area, as well as the famed "magic bus". Beautiful location at base camp with the fire pit.
