This tour takes you from Paris into the heart of the Normandy, countryside to some of the most heart-breaking places on the coast of France.
First of all we will stop to Bayeux, which is one of the most beautiful towns in Normandy for lunch. You could also enjoy Notre Dame de Bayeux cathedral,
Then we will drive to US cemetary and Omaha beach, through the roads your fathers and grand fathers used to penetrate in Normandy after the DDAY. You will have all the time needed to explore at your own rhythm, without being rushed by a guide, everything is very well explained there, and I will tell you about the history of the sites before letting you some free time
We will keep driving through the picturesque roads of the french norman countryside to Pointe du Hoc, where you could see the impressive craters left by the germans bombs
By then it will be the end of the afternoon we will drive back to Paris and arrive at around 8-9pm

This is my second time booking David for a tour in France. A group of 4 was picked up promptly by David and driven to a small town called Bayeux for lunch. The vehicle was clean and spacious. David's English is perfect and during the drive, he gave a great rundown of the day and was upfront that we were in control of stopping for drinks/bathroom breaks. David has a mastery of French history and all things related to DDay. We took the back roads rather than the highway to get a feel for what the soldiers encountered on those fateful days. All of stops (cemetery, Omaha Beach, Ponte de Hoc) were explained to us in detail and allowed us to enjoy the sites that much more. I would highly recommend this trip for the history and David's knowledge and the overall gravity of visiting these hallowed sites.wjs3434

We were picked up on time and enjoyed talking with David on our journey. He gave us all the information needed to enjoy our visits to the beaches and get the most out of our tours at the museums. A great day. No driving/parking hassles...well woth it and David is delightful.

David picked us up from our AirBnb in Paris. Immediately he had a great connection with our group of four, ranging in age from 20-60. He had a great personality, very knowledgable, as we passed landmarks he was very informative and he also answered all our questions. We never felt rushed at anytime. This was a full-day trip, about 12 hours. We stopped at locations in Normandy that we would not have on a regular bus tour. In addition, we stopped for lunch in a very quaint town in Normandy (Les Volets Roses Restaurant). As we arrived back in Paris he pointed out many local restaurants and various landmarks. We would highly recommend David as a tour guide.Harold_E

David is an outstanding engaging tour guide. Very friendly and knew what he has doing. If we were to come back to Paris I would request him again. The Normandy experience is a must for any American in my view don’t miss it.

Where do I start? This was my second trip to Paris and the first time was without a tour guide. I had some friends who had used David and highly recommended him, and since I was going back I decided this might make the trip a little more interesting and I might get a different perspective of Paris. David picked my sister and I up from the train station and we headed out. First of all, David is so kind, knows so much of the history and information of Paris. We first went to Montmartre and I literally could have stayed here all day. He gave us plenty of time to look around and even extended the times when asked. He knows the best macaroon places and the best eating places and he even stopped and let me go look around an antique market on the side of the road. David was the BEST and I would give him 10 stars if I could on here! If you are planning a one day trip or even a week trip, I highly recommend David!!! You won't be disappointed and you'll get to see all the BEST places in Paris! I can't wait to go back!Peter_C

We were contacted 36 hours before the tour to be told that there wasn't a tour guide available, but the driver said that he was as good as a guide, that he was very knowledgeable about the sites and that he would be with us the entire time, so a separate guide wouldn't be necessary. All untrue. ...
We were contacted 36 hours before the tour to be told that there wasn't a tour guide available, but the driver said that he was as good as a guide, that he was very knowledgeable about the sites and that he would be with us the entire time, so a separate guide wouldn't be necessary. All untrue. He showed up 1.5 hours late (he said there was a traffic accident), dropped us off at sites and told us to call him when we were ready to move on, and then drove away. We would have to call him several times and then wait 10-20 minutes for him to show up. Since he was so late, we only saw half of what we wanted to see. His car was dirty (in and out) and he didn't even provide water for the long trip. My husband was very specific In advance that he wanted to not only see the cemetery at Omaha beach, but to also actually go down to the beach. Driver didn't know that you can not access the beach from the cemetery site, but needed to go elsewhere. He provided no information about the area or the sites. We could have hired a car and driver for the day for half the price.
