What to expect
Itinerary
Your experience will start from your accommodations in Marrakech, then make the 37-mile trip to the Imlil Valley in a climate-controlled vehicle. As you drive, you’ll see the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains rise up from the plains, then enter a lush, agricultural valley with a thriving traditional culture.
The first stop of the day is a place where local Berber women extract precious argan oil from the kernels of the argan tree, then you’ll head to the village of Setti Fatma. This the the starting point for a 1-hour, 30-minute hike to the Ait souka Waterfalls, following a steep trail across a series of narrow bridges to picturesque cascades. While at the waterfalls, and throughout the tour, take advantage of your day with a private guide to set your own pace, with plenty of time to take breaks or ask questions.
Following the hike, cool off with a drink, then continue to a family home for a classic Berber meal of tajine, salad, and fresh fruits.
