Everything was great! Our guide "Mamma" was extremely knowledgeable and passionate and helped us as much as he could. He was very friendly and genuine and we had a great trip. Thanks so much!
Absolutely wonderful trip, Cairo was different to how I remember it but great to see it again our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all the sites we visited. Mr Ahmed and his team - Atif, Ma Ma, Captain Sayed made the whole trip brilliant
Trip to Cairo was amazing from Hurghada and was well worth the trip. Tour guide was excellent and was very knowledgeable and even helped us be more aware of the locals and made us fell safe.
What could be improved is more snacks (savoury and sweet) for the tour. As the tour is nearly 20 hours from pick up to drop off it would be ideal to make sure tourists are satisfied and not hungry. The restaurant part of the tour had very limited vegetarian options.
Long but great day. Really knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Could have done without the trip to the perfume shop at the end.
We went on the 12th feb 2020, the pick was spot on timing followed by the 6 hour long drive to Cairo by mini bus, which supplied cushions, water and onboard entertainment. Arrived in Cairo which was hectic but well worth the events to follow. Our tour Guide Mama was everything you would look for in a tour guide. We had no problems with the locals which were trying to haggle is at the pyramids and in the centre of Cairo. The lunch was a buffet next to the river Nile which was amazing. Roughly the whole day was about 21 hours long but well worth it and the views are spectacular.
Definitely worth the visit!!
A long day but Definitely worth it! The company was very well organised and the transport was great, brand new van and pillows, much better than another company we went with later in the week. Snacks were provided and we had an excellent guide ‘Mama’. Only negative was an expensive transfer of £25 from Makadi Bay , but overall an excellent trip and would definitely recommend this company .
We highly recommend this tour! We were picked up outside of our hotel at 02:45 in a small van with four other passengers. They provided us with some small snacks and water, and we were on our way to Cairo. The trip is obviously a bit long, so we slept for the beginning, but once it was light out it was very pretty and an enjoyable trip. We started at the Egyptian Museum, which I didn't have any expectations for, but ended up being a great supplement to the trip, as I learned a lot of history I didn't know about and it ended up making the pyramids even greater. Mama was our tour guide in Cairo, and as every other review says, he was amazing! He really treated us like his own family and wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. After the museum, we paid 200 lira extra ($15?) to take a Nile cruise. They make it seem optional but it's really not, so bring extra money for that. The cruise was nice though (very cold), and it took us to lunch. Lunch was really great, and Mama was great about getting us there before other tourist groups arrived. After that we headed to the pyramids, and of course the best part of the trip. The pyramids were awesome. Mama made sure to get our pictures throughout it, and took us to a great panoramic spot that no other tourist were at. We learned a lot of history and they definitely lived up to the hype. The only downside of the trip was right after the pyramids, you're taken to a shop to have tea and coffee, but really it is someone trying to get you to buy fragrances. If you say you don't want tea or coffee, he makes you get some anyway. And then they make you try fragrances and really pressure you to buy something. One person in our group did but it's uncomfortable when everyone is just sitting there not buying anything.
Other than that though, the trip was amazing! It was a great price and I would do it again and again!
Brilliant day from start to finish . Mini bus great and the added cushions a delightful extra as was the goodie bag. Our guide mama was so knowledgeable and passionate it made us hungry for more history of Egypt so have booked a tour for luxor. It is a long day but absolutely worth it . A big thank you to the two drivers also who are a marvel at getting through the streets of Cairo safely .
Fantastic way to see Cairo in a day, we were picked at 1.30am and returned in our resort at 11pm. We had our 6 year old daughter too. The trip is so worth it if you want to see pyramids and get back to Hurghada. Also, our tour guide was fantastic, his name was Mama. We also felt safe all the time, highly recommend this trip.
It was in fact a comfortable minivan, I was worried about back pain but didn’t have any. Long trip but totally worth it!
Very beautiful: a MUST do!
A long drive to Cairo but worth the trip. I would advise not to sleep as there are plenty to see along the way. The tour guide was amazing his knowledge was extensive and looked after us every step of the way
Excellent service picked us up on time. Explained the day and provided us with snacks. Lunch was lovely on the river Nile. The Museum was great and the new Museum will be even better as its 33 times the size and state of art plus next to pyramids. Open late 2020. Guide was good informative.
This tour provides a whistle stop tour of the city of Cairo, the River Nile, and the Giza plateau, and is idea for travellers who are pressed for time. Our tour guide, Mama, was simply outstanding and his passion for Egyptian culture and heritage came across in abundance. He's been a tour guide for over 30 years, and it was clear he was doing this job out of a genuine love for his country and it's history. This tour deserves five stars if only for his service and friendliness - he guided us through the Egyptian museum and showed us key exhibits, informed us of notable landmarks as went on our Nile river cruise, and took photos of us at panoramic hotspots in the Giza plateau. At no point did we feel obligated to give gratuities or pressured into paying for optional extras (e.g. the visit to the essences shop at the end).
Our tour facilitator, Ahmad, arranged a private minibus for us at short notice, since the larger coach had only European tourists on that day. Word of warning - this tour is incredibly long (pick up was at 2am and we returned around 11pm), so I would book this tour advisedly if you're travelling with young children. In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise we had a private minibus just for our family. The extra cost of booking a private tour is definitely offset by the comfort and convenience it offers!
Overall, a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience - a must-see for tourists pressed for time!
It was an amazing trip to Cairo and Pyramids. The organisation by Ramashka Tours was completely the same as it was described in the offer. Picked and returned us on time. This trip made perfect for us our guide Mamadouh (Mama) and I suggest all who want to take this trip to ask from the company to put Mama as a guide. If you like to enjoy your trip at a maximum, just leave everything on his hands...He deserves a good tip-:).
Very punctuals, the driver was very friendly, the guide was very experienced and very helpful, give us a lot of advice,I reccomend
Been meaning to write this review...an amazing day allbeit a long one.
We were picked up at 1.50am and our mode of transport was a small minibus. There were only 6 of us on the minibus altogether so we had plenty of room and it was nice and personal. Our 2 drivers both called Ahmed I believe were nice and friendly. When we first got on the bus someone from Ramashka tours rang the drivers to speak to me to give a quick rundown of what was going to happen on the trip.
We drove to a meeting point where you could grab a drink...a bite to eat..use the toilet (everywhere charged for public toilets though.. so be prepared) then when all coaches, minibuses had arrived they all set off in a convoy..apparently the police check the roads before everyone sets off.
After about 2 1/2 - 3 hours you stop again at an interesting place where you can buy stuff..grab a drink or a bite to eat...then you carry on until you get to Cairo.
We were there on a Monday.. and OMG Cairo traffic is a scary experience lol...an experience in itself.
1st stop is the Egyptian museum..some amazing artefacts in here..including Tutankharmun's mask. You do have to pay to take photos in here but it's only a couple of pound.
Next you have the opportunity to take a short Nile cruise for an extra €10 which we did and it was very nice and that takes you to a the place where there is a buffet lunch.
After that you go to the pyramids of Giza and the Sphynx. Our English speaking guide who had joined us at the museum was very good and kept the people that hassle you at bay..i think he was called Mama.
After that they do take you to a perfume shop but to be honest there was no hard sell at all and my friend and I didn't buy anything.
Then it was the trip back..again stopping off at the same point to get something to eat or drink.
The whole trip was amazing from start to finish..the guide was so knowledgeable, our drivers were nice and again the man from Ramashka tours rang to see if we had had a good time. We got back to out hotel about 11pm.
This day trip was fantastic and would 100% recommend booking via this company rather than through your hotel. The guides we had spoke english perfectly and the day went as smooth as possible. Couldn’t of been better :)
Amazing!!! Very hot but worth it. Breath taking views. Guided bu the best of the best mamduah AKA mama
The trip was very good organised. We travel with family 9people in total included 3children : 1,5 year and 8 years and have to say everything was well adapted to our needs .the trip was long from as we stay in Hurghada but in the bus they make sure we have fresh bottle water and even little snack .The operator of the tour was very friendly and his knowledge about Cairo was impressive . We would definitely book trip with them again
Amazing experience, visited The Pyramids, The Sphinx, The Egyptian Museum and had a trip down The Nile.
A very long day but well worth it.
Got picked up at 2.45am and arrived back at the hotel at 11.15pm.
The whole trip was an eye opener and an amazing experience.
My 12 yr old daughter was in awe at it all.
The guides were brilliant, my only slight complaint was the lack of time in the museum, not enough time to see hardly anything and no time for the mummy room.
It was a really good tour and the tour guide is excellent! You learn so many new things! It’s very tiring as it’s a whole day and very hot, so I would make sure you have hats and plenty of water for the trip!
Ive read the reviews and as always you never know what you're getting yourself in for. However I can't recommend this trip enough, great tour guide who will honestly give you as much information as you can handle. Great drivers who even came back after we left some souvenirs on board after we got dropped off, which kept me out the dog house with the wife.
The only downsides are that it is a long day, but you can always sleep on the coach, you'll need it
It was a very long day but definitely worth it. Well organised and the guide (Ahmed) was excellent. Learnt a lot.
We left our resort at 2 a.m. in the morning.Around 3 we arrived at the check-up point and waited there for half an hour,to wait the other buses. We arrived in Cairo around 9 in the morning,by 9:30 we were visiting the egyptian museum. It took us around 2 hours to visit it,but only the main attractions, cause is very big. And you have to hurry and run a bit between the attractions, cause is very crowded. Our tour guy was very nice and he spoke english very well. After the museum,we went to eat our lunch that was included in the price,it was ok,not so many options, but food ok.After we ate,we went to see the pyramids and the sphinx. We took a ride with the camels and it was great. Our guide bargain with the camel guy,so we paid the right amount.Around 200 egyptian pounds(10euros).After the pyramids,we went to a perfume shop, nice experience. They waited for us with tea and drinks and the prices for the perfumes were ok(200 egyptian pounds). The same price was at our resort shop.We got back from our trip around 10:30 in the night. It was a long trip, but worth it.Would recommend it.
If you can stomach the early rise and pickup at 02.00 AM , and the 5 hours on the bus ( both ways) , then this is a great trip .The Egyptian museun has incredible artifacts , though we hope they will be displayed better when they move to their new site , which is planned for next year .Our guide , Mahmut from Ramashka tours , was full of enthousiam and made us re-live the old Egyptian history as he took us through the museum , and later around and inside the piramids complex and near the sphinx . A short cruise on the Nile ( 10 € extra) taking us to the lunch-site on a boat , gave us an unexpected view over Cairo's diplomatic district , probably the nicest - and cleanest- area of the town.We can definitely recommend this trip , it is worth every cent , and a visit to Egypt is not complete if you have missed seeing the piramids
Trip was very well organized. Local guide was perfect; his stories were both fun and full of information. Nile-cruise, pyramids and sphinx - what else could you wait for!? We really enjoyed this trip.
Professional staff all-round. Arrived on time. Fascinating tour. Humble and considerate driver. Tour guide very informative.
It was a long day. We left hotel at 1:30 and back at 24:30. But it was absolut worth it. It is something like once-in-lifetime. Our guide Rafat was experienced and gave us lots of knowledge of Egypt. The bus driver had typical Egyptian style.
This one day bus trip to Cairo is great, especially with a very nice and friendly guid. The most impressive part is the guided tour around the Pyramids, relaxed and enjoyable, it is just fantastic!
Amazing trip .. fantastic drivers .. egyption museum pyramids and sphinx .. what more could anyone ask for .. drivers do an amazing job not crashing in madness of Cairo and turn up on time at pick up points during the day .. guided we had was ok .. great value for money and a must on trip to hurghada as will be best by far day of anyone's holiday ... very comfortable mini bus and enjoy watching a film on way back ...
