Overview
Begin your tour visiting Tonala with its rustic atmosphere. A visit to City Hall will help you learn about the history of the Tonaltecas as you see the colorful murals decorating the walls. Visit a workshop to admire the talent and creativity of the artisans. Continue to Tlaquepaque, where lovely old mansions are now shops and galleries. The tour includes a guided walk to see the monument of Hidalgo, the Historic House, the Ceramic Museum (closed on Mondays) the main plaza and the world famous Parian.

This was just about the perfect private excursion to take while in the area. Our guide easily was able to adjust to unexpected changes, like anticipated stops that happened to be closed for uncontrollable reasons, and add sites the closely matched our unique interests. She was a wealth of information from historic to cultural, and even personal. She was even able to question what we had already seen and to make recommendations of things to see in our remaining time in the area. This completely enjoyable day gave us a great overview of the artist communities just a short hop from the main tourist sites of the downtown area.

Whether in Spanish or English, we were able to speak to them with no problems. The places we went to were very nice. LILLY was very quick to pick up on our likes and adjusted the itinerary appropriately. Very sad to see the day with them end. Planning to return. It was just me with a guide, Carlos. So even for one person they organize the tour. He asked me what I wanted and we spent most of our time in Tonola, as I preferred (had been to Tlaquepaque before). I felt like a VIP. Very special is visiting the workshop of the Bernabe family.
