We started from San Remo Train Station, heading through the town and rapidly onto the footpaths into the mountains. The routes were very well chosen and challenging with a good amount of shade - especifally for me with fair skin !! We climbed up rapidly and the views were awesome as we headed to San Romolo, where we had a lovely sandwich picnic. Our hike involved over 1000 meters of elevation and 13.2 km total distance. Katherine was an excellent guide, very engaging enthusiastic person with a great knowledge of different trails to explore. This is highly recommended.Catherine made us discover Sanremo back mountain. Hiking from our hotel in Sanremo center to Bignone (1300m). Best view of Sanremo sea and mountains. Thank you also for the sandwiches and your good mood, what a great journey :-)

I had the best day with Kat, hiking from the village of Baiardo to San Romulo and back. The hike is moderately easy, with unbelievable mountain views and a rewarding deserted tiny town at the top of the mountain, complete with abandoned cable car. A terrific picnic lunch in the park was followed by running into a goat herder as we ambled back to the starting point. Highly recommend this!
