We were a party of 4 with Amy as our guide for the day. Brilliant day and Amy was able to provide so much information about the history of the war and the way the local people lived through that difficult time. Lunch was good and the tunnels impressive
Only in Ho Chi Minh for a couple of days and one of our mornings chose to do this tour. Fantastically organised, picked up from our district 1 hotel exactly on time, onto an air conned bus to go to the Chu chi tunnels. We made a quick stop off en route at one of the last remaining “handicapped factories” which was interesting to see the works of art they do. The tunnels themselves were amazing, understanding all the ins and outs of the war and the guerilla warfare and how they managed to survive. You get to go into the tight bunkers (not for the claustrophobic people!) and the first level tunnel to get an idea of what it would have been like. Our tour guide, Duc, was also brilliant - gave just the right amount of information without over loading and was lovely to be around :) definitely recommend!!
Excellent trip to the Cu Chi tunnels. Well organised and the tour guide (Pine) was very informative and knowledgeable. Would recommend.
We took the large bus tour with Sam, our guide and Toan our driver. It was very informative trip with Sam explaining Vietnamese recent history and culture. It also gave us an opportunity to view the rural countryside. The Cu Chi experience is not to be missed and again Sam provided interesting details of living conditions during the war as we walked through the area. Great value for money.
Great trip to the Cu Chi tunnels, this is a well organised trip and is very informative about what happened during the war, our guide was fantastic even giving us a song on the way on the bus. Should anyone be clostraphobic don't do trip due to the fact that you have to crawl through small spaces for at least 20 metres.
Great trip for those interested in learning about the country.
Great experience. We did the
Cu Chi Tunnels - Less Touristy Route (Morning). BAUnny was our guide and she was VERY knowledgeable (she knew more than we did about American history). Friendly, helpful and funny. A great day, offered at a great value. Highly recommended.
It was very well organized from the very comfortable pick-up to drop off in the limo car and we loved the delicious lunch and snacks too ! Special thanks to our guide Amy who went beyond to make us feel comfortable and kept us super engaged with all the war stories and very interesting information about the tunnels. She was very kind and personally went beyond to help us out in getting back my dad’s lost reading glasses, which was very very sweet of her!! High quality service at a very reasonable rate = super value!! Thank you!!
Pine, our guide, was great!! Very funny as well as interesting. We did the half day tour and was amazing
I went to the Ben Duoc tours with our tour guide Sally and 4 other guests (5 out of a total of 10 people). At no point did it feel like there were other tour groups on our tail, but neither were we rushed. We also spent longer at the tunnels than our tour guide had accounted for which tells us we had a far more in depth time than expected which I was thankful for! It is worth the longer trip for quieter tunnels.
Handsome Ben was such a great tour guide! I was blown away! I've done many tours on Viator and often don't leave reviews. When the rating is a 3 or 4 star experience, I often let the tour standalone. In this circumstance, Ben was so stellar and thorough that I felt the need to say something. Ben knows the tour from the beginning to the end. He's knowledgeable and kind and his English is very clear and understandable. He has firsthand experience from the war, knowing relatives who were affected. He's honest about the experience and gives you a great understanding of it. I highly recommend this for anyone! Ben is a STAR!!!!
A great tour, well organized with a fantastic tour guide. Very informative, but also fun as you get to try to get into the tunnel and crawl through (only if you want). Highly recommend if you have a few days in Saigon
Gives deep insights into the horrors of war but more important the ingenuity of the local population to fight despite absolutely no resources other than courage, a strong will to fight to win and a desperate need to survive.
You surely need a good tour guide for this, we were lucky to get a var veteran himself who gave us insights which probably would not have been exposed.
Vu had excellent English.Vu was very informative and entertaining. I highly recommend Vu for future tours.
The pace was a little bit hurried. River (Ms. Giang), our guide, was very enthusiastic, enthusiastic and goes out of her way to please.
This was an excellent tour to get some history and insight into Vietnamese culture and history. Our guide Sally took us to the Ben Duoc section of the tunnels which is less busy and worth the extra 15 minute drive to avoid massive crowds. Going through the tunnels was not for the claustrophobic however was worth doing to appreciate the conditions of the inhabitants during wartime. The tunnels were made 40% larger for tourists so it is quite shocking when crawling through the tunnels how much smaller they would have originally been. Sally spoke excellent English, was very informative and had a great sense of humour. Great tour.
Tuan was our tour guide and did an exceptional job at providing background and context to the tunnels. I highly recommend this tour and also Tuan.
We did this tour early November and it was really good. We visited the less touristy tunnels and the experience was awesome. Special Kudos for Hang (Selena) as she was an awesome guide, she provided us a lot of history and facts about the tunnels and Vietnam war. This is definitely a must do if you are in Ho Chi Minh City.
Well worth a visit. We had an excellent guide in Tuan He was an ex-war veteran, whose experience added to our visit
We had a fantastic and educational tour of the Cu Chi tunnels. Mr. Handsome was a terrific guide, so friendly and knowledgeable and went the extra mile in every way! Hopefully you’re lucky enough to have him lead your day. The coach was prompt and comfortable with Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. Would definitely recommend this to tour to anyone. An excellent value!
the trip was awwesome. the guide explained the history in the bus ride, and at the tunnels he kept explaining and knew alot. crawling througth the tunnels was also very interesting. try to make it to at least 40-60 of tunnel and not bail out at the 20m. it gives you the feeling of how the soldiers back then felt.
We really enjoyed our trip to the tunnels, we definitely recommend to anyone considering it. Our guide was very knowledgable and had good English
The tunnels are quite interesting and the visit got even better thanks to our guide Duc. Really nice guy and knowledgeable.
Really enjoyed the tour done by a Veteran Vietnam war. He was very informative . Picked up on time from hotel. the bus was comfortable.
Thoroughly enjoyed our Cu Chi tunnel tour. Booking process was simple, minibus transport to and from the tunnels was comfortable and Duc, our tour guide for the day, was fantastic. Highly recommend!
The visit to Cu Chi was perfect. We enjoyed it very much.
You can go through the tunnels that VC used to go.
I really enjoyed the tunnels and our tour guide was so funny and informative and spoke English really well. The air conditioned bus was definitely nice and although you stop at an art shop the art is quite beautiful and I ended up buying something. I did the tour as a solo traveler and it was nice to be around other people for the day and learn so much! Definitely wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty / can crouch in for a long period of time if you plan to go inside the tunnels (which I would highly recommend). The tour was very timely, too.
Our Guide Selena Hang well equipped with answers about history not only on Cu Chi Tunnel but Vietnam as a whole. She brought us around Cu Chi with confidence and good command of English. She highlighted fine pointers that will be in our memory forever. Thank you Selena Hang n Vietnam.
A good time spent for a day trip to tunnels to learn a piece of Vietnam’s history. My wife and I enjoyed the tour and our guide Duc, was extremely entertaining!
This tour was very interesting as tour guide Jackie provided a lot of context and history around the Vietnamese fight for independence and the building of the tunnel network.
Steven was good guide. He is well informed young man. Cu Chi Tunnels are an interesting place, it's a good experience.
