This special full-day tour takes you from Ho Chi Minh city to two major attractions: Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta
7:45AM. We will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city by a VIP Car (with seats luxuriously designed in passenger cabin) and head to Cu Chi tunnels where you will explore and learn about the Vietnam War resistance the US Forces. You can crawl short distances through the tunnels. Learn about how different types of booby trap - the symbol of guerrilla warfare - were created and set up. If you get adventurous, you can buy bullets to fire a real AK-47
11:30AM. We depart for Mekong Delta. On the way, we stop by at a local restaurant to enjoy a lunch with Vietnamese Cuisine (Halal & Veggie food available)
13:30PM. Arrive Mekong Delta, take a small row boat to paddle along the small canals under fronds of coconut trees lining both sides. Get on the motor boat to cruise to the coconut island. We disembark at a local family to enjoy tropical fruits, taste honey tea, honey wine, see how the local products are made, and enjoy a live local music performance performed by the villagers.
16:00PM. Strolling along the countryside roads to get to know the locals going about their day. Relax with the peaceful atmosphere, then say goodbye and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
Around 17:45PM to 18:30PM. Arrive Ho Chi Minh city. We take you back to your hotel.

I had not much of an idea of what Cu Chi tunnels was when I signed up. First amazing thing was the VIP van. It had massage seats!!! Made my day!
I'm not much of a war fan, but Sally and her amazing stories about the tunnels really captivated me and I had a great time learning about these people and what they created to survive the war. Also, Sally made it super enjoyable with her great sense of humor.
Food was amazing!!! Seriously, super good!
Mekong was fun to see and we were lucky rain stopped when we arrived.
Had an amazing time!!
An excellent guide led tour and a very comfortable bus. A very informative day including a good history of the country.
What a great experience. Our tour guides name was Hung, she had lots of knowledge about Vietnam and the war and also used humour very well in her delivery. The day was very enjoyable and educational. The vehicle was comfortable and exactly as described and as per the photos. It was so interesting to be able to go through the tunnels and they make it easy for people of any fitness levels to choose what option is best for them. The lunch was tasty and there was lots of food. We were lucky and had a great group of people. We did not feel any pressure to tip, however, the row boat ride at the end of the tour had a small tip expected (which was totally fine). I suggest other people ask their tour guide in advance if and where tips are expected on the tour and how much is reasonable.
We got to try local honey and fruits. The tour is well constructed and the timing/ flow is great. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
Lan (Unicorn in Vietnamese apparently) our guide was superb, very informative and funny but without being too intense. There is a fair bit of ‘van time’ being driven to each location but that was fine to have a rest in the heat. The tunnels are a ‘must’ if you are in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh as it is called now but nobody calls it that). Many thanks, unique and unforgetable 👍😊
We really love this full-day tour. It's very educational and entertaining, thanks to Vu, our amazing tour guide. She explained very well, great English, knew when to throw in some fun in between making the whole day was quite entertaining.
The tour itself is great. We intentionally chose this tour that was using Bus both ways, which was much cheaper than the Speed boat and it also gave us plenty of sightseeing opportunity along the way. Best value overall.
The limo van was very comfortable for the ride to the cu chi tunnels and mekong delta. Our guide Mr.Cung made the tour fun and interesting. He gave us many interesting facts and answered any questions we had. It was a very enjoyable day in Vietnam.
We had a family emergency come up that didn't allow us to take part in this trip but after contacting them, they rebooked us for a half day tour that same day which was so unexpected. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I would recommend them in a heart beat.
We were a group of 6 pax. We didnt expect this kind of VIP service from Lockie, we were really entertained from the start of the tour til the end. The stories of Lockie helped us understand the history in a different perspective and it made our trip more meaningful. I rarely like tours but this was exceptional and highly recommended.
Very good day trip. Van was extremely comfortable. It was interesting to visit the Cu Chi tunnels and learn about the war from the The perspectives of the Vietnamese. Our tour guide Dao was lovely and couldn’t do enough for the group. It is a long day but I’d recommend doing this tour which combines the tunnels in the morning with a trip to the Mekong river in the afternoon.
Thoroughly enjoyable tour, would highly recommend. Our tour guide FA made our experience simply amazing. His knowledge and insight into Vietnam and its history is impressive. Highly recommend requesting FA.
Excellent tour; especially tour guide Sally who was extremely friendly, polite and witty with lots of jokes-but always a true professional-thank you so much Sam-your warmth and charm helped make it a great day!
Yes it is lots of driving-but that is due to it being 2 tours combined into one given their geographical locations! That is not the tour companies fault. So this combined tour is great if you are spending a short time in HCMC. If you have lots of time and don’t care for lots of driving (even being driven in a lovely small bus with big seats with built in massagers!) then perhaps best to do two separate tours. Would definitely recommend this tour!
great day trip for all ages, great tour guide, fantastic ,prompt ,informative ,clean bus ,small group in tour
Our guide Ms. Anbie was excellent, the trip was wonderful. Thank you for a pleasant day. Best sincerely. Ivo (Slovakia)
The whole tour although only for 1 day is one awesome experience. Fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Very comfortable van and great lunch.
Best tour in the area. Our guide Sam was quite knowledgeable and spoke English well. The limo van seats were very cozy and had massagers in them! Lunch was some of the best food we have had in Vietnam. There is also free Wi-Fi in the limo van.
Right from the start, our tour guide made us feel most welcome and was very chatty from the outset. Our tour guide, Pine from Vietnam Adventure Tours was brilliant and very knowledgeable on all things Vietnam. He has a fantastic sense of humour and quickly helped everyone in our small group settle in and feel at home.We knew it was going to be a long day when trying to fit in both the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta boat trips on the same day but the day flew by and we comfortably were able to do both excursions and Pine showed us other stuff along the way also. It did take the full day to complete the trip but a lot of the time was spent sitting in traffic. The traditional Vietnamese buffet lunch was lovely and a good experience also. The tunnels was a fantastic experience and really nice to see so you can picture the horror of what actually took place there during the war so I would totally recommend a visit to the Cu Chi tunnels to everyone who visits Saigon! The trip down the Mekong River was fantastic too. First, you go on a bigger boat out onto the river then you swap over onto a small paddleboat where local people paddle you through a more build up area where people live so it was nice to get a feel of what the locals see and do on a day-to-day basis.Overall, I couldn’t recommend this full day trip enough. These are the two most popular trips in Saigon, this full day trip allows you to do both on the same day, and if you are lucky enough to get Pine as your tour guide you are in for a day you will never forget.Good job Pine, you totally deserve a big pay rise and I couldn’t recommend Vietnam Adventure Tours and Viator enough.Hope this helps,Tony
Cu Chi Tunnels were the highlight of this combined tour. Absolutely fascinating although our guide took us through at a very fast pace. Opportunity to fire off live rounds of an AK47 not to be missed ! Afternoon tour of the Mekong Delta was interesting but a bit overly focused on being taken to factory/retail outlets. Limo was good, much better than a coach particularly given the long drive - which traffic wise was a bit hairy at times.
Tunnels and Mekong delta tour were wonderful ! The vip van was very nice with cold ac and drinks plugs for charging phones. The lunch was a roadside tourist stop food was ok just would prefer on vip tour a better lunch option. Tour guide Tony was super !
Our guide was 5. He was absolutely incredible, knowledgeable, fun, accommodating and made this experience such a wonderful and worth while day. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Thank you :-
First off, I'd like to say that we had the most amazing guide. Vu was a super awesome guide! She's knowledgeable, upbeat and so funny! The trip was well planned. Chu Chi tunnels are a work of art and a must visit. After the tunnels we went to the Mekong delta where we experienced the local culture, food, fruits, and local industries. The van was very comfortable. All in all, a day well spent!A big shout out to Vu once again! All the best!
fantastic tour?? highly recommended. will go again
Our tour guide was called Ken. He was very knowledgeable, fun, patient, and friendly. We would highly recommend this tour! The combination of Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta was perfect! Ken also made it a lot of fun for our family of six including a 7 and 11 year old.
Long day and well worth it! So much packed into it! Great as a small tour as it gives you plenty of opportunities to raise questions you have got. A must if you are on tight time schedule.
What can I say about this tour to Cu Chi and the Mekong Delta. Awesome awesome awesome experience. Absolutely request Mr. Foo... hes entertaining, knowledgeable, professional, and super friendly. He answered al of our questions, spoke English very well, and told stories of his own personal experiences. It made the trip even more worth it.
The tour began by picking me up in a van limo with 6 others in Saigon, and the history lesson began right away. I learned so much today, and is a different perspective than shown in the history books. Seeing the propaganda videos and learning what took place from the locals perspective, was extraordinary. The trip into the tunnels, even for a short walk, was a freaky experience. I cant even begin to imagine what life was like back then. While the tunnels were expanded a bit, they were stiil difficult to duck and walk through. After this experience, we headed over to the Mekong Delta to have a really good lunch after a short boat ride. There we were able to try a variety of local foods, which were all very tasty. From there, we took a small boat where we had two little older ladies rowing for us that took us through the the mangroves type of area to head to try tea and several local treats made by the honey of the bees on their farm. The treats were yummy! After all of this we headed back to Saigon which took about a hour and a half. Overall, what an amazing experience! Definitely book this tour and Mr. Foo!
Had a amazing, enjoyed, wonderful trip with our friendly tour guide MS.Anbie.
Many Place and activity covered in 1 full day. amazing!!
VIP bus also nice as per picture shown.
Time management good
Most destinations were interesting to visit
Good lunch provided
PERFECT EXPERIENCE FROM THE START TO FINISH.
Very interesting and great guide thanks.
This tour was amazing. The transportation is just as pictured- There's wifi and there are usb charging porst on board for charging your devices.
Our guide Nia i hope i got that right was truly the best. He even helped with the negotiations/bargaining when we were buying souvenirs from the locals that didn't speak English. My highlight of the tour was the shooting range- its not everyday that you get to fire a M30 machine gun:
The lunch provided at the rest stop was particularly delicious. Its a set menu but you can order additional stuff at a cost outside of what the tour already covered, of course. The river ride after on the Mekong was very peaceful. You might come across some of the locals that live on their houseboats on your way to the village.
Within the village you will stop at a coconut candy shop. The coconut ice cream and the coconut crackers were pretty good.
I'd definitely do this again.
Very well organised tour with a very good English speaking guide. Enjoyed it thoroughly with lunch at a great Vietnamese restaurant. Would definitely advise it.
We had a very nice guide named Ken who entertained us in his witty way. wr also informed us about the story etc. we were excited about him. the tour is highly recommended! Thanks to the luxurious bus, you could relax while driving. were always supplied with fresh drinks and the food was very good quality. to make cu chi and mekong in one day the tour is perfect! One day cu chi and one day mekong we would not recommend. on this tour you have both in one and the tours are more efficient;) our tip: book now;)
Had a wonderful day LONG DAY at that. The car was wonderful and our driver spoke great English and explained lots of different places as we went along. Wasn't the best start to our holiday as I was about to Cancel this Day trip due to having upset stomach but good old Gastro stop help me through and glad I went. I did have a few hours sleep in car which probably saved me.
Went to Cu Chi tunnels first then headed for lunch which was yummy then onto Mekong Delta. We stopped at the Coconut Candy farm, Bee Farm and where you try all their local produce.
Got to ride on their small boat along the Mekong.
