Countryside E-Bike & Vineyard Farm visit
Overview
We'll tour by bike the Rieti Valley trails, with its unique Roman villa, now part of the FAI (Italian Environment Fund) heritage. It was property of the Roman Consul and Senator Quinto Assio and te magnificent panorama from Labro’s Castle overlooking Umbria’s Lake. We'll be most of the time at Rieti Valley biking up and down the hidden trails towards it’s lakes, medieval towns, and very old and beautiful oak trees. However, we can do a different version of this ride, depending on weather and ability of the group. After we finish our valley loop, we'll enjoy the local wine, cheese and hams at my favourite winery.

What to expect
After one-hour vehicle ride we'll start from Turbolenti Bike Base where will get our E-Bikes. Afterward, we’ll jump right to the action of our Rieti Valley trails to visit Piediluco Lake in Umbria.
Next, we will head to Labro Castle and walk through this beautifully restored medieval village. It's gorgeous.
The church, the castle, the theatre, the turns, up down across, the lake well off to the side below.
Plenty of opportunities to take scenic photos of the super famous St Francis Way but with me we’ll reach those stops from the back door, using beautiful bike trails through the Lungo and Ripasottile Lake District and the ancient and stately Roman villa of the 1st century BD, that walkers can’t reach! Valley trails you wouldn't find and see without me as your guide.
Last, arrive at Cantina Le Macchie for a visit to their cellar, vineyards, and winery. And of course, with a glass of wine accompanied by a small tasting of cheese, cured meats from our territory, and their olive oil production.
We'll say goodbye at Terni Train station.

The experience was above so much fun!! I learned how to ride an e bike, met new friends, saw unbelievable scenery, while laughing and so enjoying myself. Almost didn't go, but so worth this adventure. A definite RETURN!! Thank you ever, ever much!!

Our tour with Cris was wonderful! He was a very knowledgeable guide, having lived in Rieti and Umbria for some time he knew a lot about the culture and the wine making region. Our tour with Cris was wonderful! He was a very knowledgeable guide, having lived in Rieti and Umbria for some time he knew a lot about the culture and the wine making region. He was very aware of the group’s safety and comfort on the e-bikes. Cris kept us organized and helped everyone navigate through off-road and up the hills to our destination. He even had to change someone’s tire along the way! It was really interesting to learn about the wine making process from such a small and passionate local winery. Overall it was a great way to see a part of Central Italy and off the tourist path, that you might otherwise miss. The tour and visit to the vineyard was 10/10, highly recommend!Box Z
