Arrival to the southern entrance of the Cotopaxi National Park.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Cotopaxi Volcano, Tanicuchi Ecuador
Arriving at the parking lot at 4600 (15.091ft) above sea level. Our hike starting to the Refugio Padre Ribas where we can get a hot drink, later still hiking to the glacials at 5000 above sea level (16.404 ft)

Stop At: Laguna de Limpiopungo, Latacunga Ecuador
Hiking in the limpiopungo lagoon.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: San Juan De Pastocalle, 79C8+X4F, Tanicuchi, Ecuador
Lunch in a local restaurant.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Parque Nacional Cotopaxi, Latacunga 050150 Ecuador
Driving back to Quito

Fue una experiencia increíble. Pedro es un guía que sabe muchísimo y es un placer escucharlo. El tour es mejor de lo que esperábamos, hicimos hiking en Cotopaxi y vimos unos paisajes maravillosos. Recomiendo 100%

Además recomiendo asistir con el guía Pedro, es una persona muy profesional que sabe mucho acerca de cada sitio allí. Hace que la experiencia sea maravillosa. Todo muy recomendado, sin duda volvería a repetir esta experiencia tan grandiosa.Diría que la mejor parte fue cuando finalmente pudimos ver el volcán de cerca, de verdad una experiencia surreal que inmediatamente hizo valer la pena el viaje. Nuestro guía Pedro nos dió un excelente servicio desde información sobre los volcanes alrededor y cómo fueron creados hasta darnos buena...
Diría que la mejor parte fue cuando finalmente pudimos ver el volcán de cerca, de verdad una experiencia surreal que inmediatamente hizo valer la pena el viaje. Nuestro guía Pedro nos dió un excelente servicio desde información sobre los volcanes alrededor y cómo fueron creados hasta darnos buena compañía en el trayecto al refugio. Pedro steuerte uns sicher durch den morgendlichen Berufsverkehr durch Quito. Am Nationalpark angekommen ging es leider bei Schneeregen, Hagel und viel Wind ...
Wir wurden pünktlich vom Hotel um 7 Uhr morgens für den Ausflug zum Cotopaxi abgeholt. 2 kleine Wasserflaschen waren für uns im Auto bereit. Pedro steuerte uns sicher durch den morgendlichen Berufsverkehr durch Quito. Am Nationalpark angekommen ging es leider bei Schneeregen, Hagel und viel Wind zum Aufstieg mit dem Ziel "Jose Ribas" refuge. Das war ein hartes Stück Arbeit. Wir benötigten ca. 1h. Das hört sich jetzt nicht lang an, aber es war eine verdammt anstrengende Zeit. In der Hütte angekommen gab es einen Coca Tee. Diese hatte ich mir etwas anders vorgestellt. Ich hatte auf eine gemütliche warme Berghütte gehofft um mich von den Strapazen zu erholen. Nun gut...der Abstieg war weniger anstrengend , nur sehr rutschig und man musste sich auch da sehr konzentrieren nicht zu fallen. Pedro machte Fotos und Videos mit seiner Kamera, welche er uns dann als Erinnerung mailte. Zusammenfassend ein kleines Abenteuer, auch wenn sich Cotopaxi leider nicht gezeigt hat.Christian was our guide, and he did a phenomenal job of taking us to Cotopaxi. It was very windy and cold with hail and snow along the trek up, but completely worth it to reach base camp at 15,953 feet. It was very windy and cold with hail and snow along the trek up, but completely worth it to reach base camp at 15,953 feet. This trip was a highlight of our time in Ecuador and we highly recommend it.It was a great trip and drive to the Cotopaxi volcano. Tour guide Pedro was really nice.
