Cooking Class - Lunch time Harvest, cooking, tasting at the Villa in Sorrento
Overview
A Sorrentine family will welcome and shows you the features of their villa, including the garden where the guests will grab the harvest for the preparation, the vineyard, the cellars, the places where the animals from the farm use to live.
Autentic place, autentic peolpe, great local food!

What to expect
Luigi will accompany you to the garden to take the harvest for the recipees you are going to prepare with the chefs.
During the harvest you can see the lemon pergula, the olive threes, the grapes, the animal from the farm and a large variety of typical mediterranean flora and fauna.
After being introduced and explained the menù, guided by the chefs, the preparation will start.
A selection of italian aperitifs, homemade pasta as for example Cannelloni, Gnocchi, Ravioli or Lasagna in different sauces, main courses and desserts are just some of the plates that you will taste at the end of the preparation.
When the food will be ready you will have the chance to celebrate your results tasting the different courses you have prepared.
Welcome drink, wine and mineral water are included!

From pick up to drop off this was an amazing experience. I booked it because it said small group of maybe 8. Well much to our surprise we were the only ones! Anna Maria welcomed us very warmly and started class. It felt more like cooking with a friend in their kitchen. I learned alot in the class. The difference between flours, the feel of the pasta dough, ect . AnnaMarria is an excellent teacher. Even when I screwed up, she jokingly reprimanded me like old friends would. I actually felt brave enough to make dough. We made ravioli, bread,eggplant parmesan and panna cotta, zucchini flowers . It was awesome. We then went to the gardens and picked the lemon, thyme, and basil for the recipes. And met the chickens who provided the eggs. After cooking we sat and ate on the terrace with Luigi and annaMaria. The food was delicious and unbelievable that we made it. It was truly a memorable day for us. I cant wait to try these dishes at home. I can’t recommend this class highly enough. From the very first moment you step into this stunning family villa, you are made to feel like you are part of the family. Nonna Anna Maria expertly leads you through this cooking class, with the help of different generations of her family. On arrival we were provided with a pizza rustica (one of the most delicious things I have tasted) and freshly squeezed lemon water and some limoncello to wet the whistle! Throughout the class there is unlimited white and red wine available - all helping to oil the cooking experience! For our meal, we made freshly made potato croquettes which were a delicious appetiser in the sun! Chicken Cacciatora, fresh egg pasta split between basically and ricotta ravioli - after learning how to make our own ricotta cheese - and also tagliatelle with a homemade tomato sauce. This meal was finished off with the most fresh lemon pana cotta. Can’t recommend this experience highly enough, proved to be a great value for money and a great end to our honeymoon and wouldn’t hesitate to go back if we were in the Sorrento area again. Chef Anna-Maria was so fun and kind to us. It was very relaxed with a great group of women. The chicken cacciatore was amazing, the best thing we have eaten on our trip.
