Overview

You will learn how to prepare the most popular Peruvian dishes: Lomo Saltado and Causa Limeña. Also, you will taste one of our traditional drink: Chicha Morada of purple corn! Professional chefs will teach you the best culinary techniques.

Enjoy a pleasant and familiar atmosphere, learn about Peruvian products and their nutritional properties. Our chefs will share the best secrets of Peruvian cuisine, while we use traditional ceramic vessels as in the times of our ancestors. In addition, they will have the recipes to recreate them at home!

What to expect

You will prepare the most popular Peruvian dishes: Lomo Saltado and Causa Lima; you will also try the Chicha morada, a traditional and refreshing drink. You will learn to cook your own Peruvian food with professional chefs!

This class is for people who love traditional food and want to make it at home! You will love the relaxed atmosphere without boring demos because we believe in the hands-on approach. You will make an authentic Peruvian dish to seduce your palate and then enjoy your achievements.

To cook we use ceramic vessels, just as our ancestors (Inkas) did. In this way we will maintain all the natural flavor.

Sample Menu

• Causa Limeña - Mashed yellow potato, ground yellow ají pepper and lemon juice enliven la causa. We have chicken and vegetarian version (vegetables and quinoa).
• Lomo saltado - The dish owes its origins to the influence of the Chinese-Cantonese! We also have the vegetarian version with mushrooms!

I had a great time doing this cooking class as a solo traveler. It was very informative and fun. I highly recommend doing this class at the start of your travels to get yourself familiar with the cuisine in the area. The food we made and ate was delicious, I thought it was an excellent deal.
