IMPORTANT: due to maintenance works, the funicolar will be closed in November 2022. The cable car ride will be replaced by a bus shuttle from Como to Brunate.

Personally, I love hiking in the forest & mountains. The scenery is beautiful & serene. The trail is pretty well marked, but I would not have wanted to do it the first time without a guide. Plus, we wouldn’t have found the amazing crotto for lunch on our own! Highly recommend, but not for people with any kind of mobility issues as the hike was over 10km & at times challenging to maneuver over the rocks and waterfalls due to recent rainfall.The tour was simply unique. We walked through an ancient trail to see the beautiful hamlets and villages on the lake. The lunch at the crotto was amazing, with good food and good company! You won't regret taking part in this hike.

This was bot a senior friendly hike and was never fully disclosed with a difficulty rating for a novice hiker. It had very dangerous and unsteady areas where you need to walk! The guides were fantastic and one stayed back with me the entire time. Unfortunately my husband lost his footing and rolled down an incline banging his hip and getting scratched and bruised! The local tour operator was not at fault . It was lack of proper wording and warnings in the Viator written description of ibis tour that is to blame! Shame on you. Viator! It is necessary to discriminate in this instance and mention that this is not for every senior citizen! I have used your service for 15 years and this is the first tour that we have had an issue with! You need to put a huge disclaimer, explanation, details about this hike people to recognize its NOT for everyone!
