Stop At: Kera Kardiotissa Monastery, Heraklion, Crete Greece
Kera Kardiotissa Monastery, is an Orthodox nunnery dedicated to Virgin Mary, situated near the village of Kera at an altitude of 650m. It is famous for the icon of Mary believed to be miraculous. It is surrounded by fortified walls and the church features murals dating back to 14th - 15th century.

Stop At: Dikteon Cave, Mount Dicte range in East Crete, Psichro, Crete 720 52 Greece
The Dikteon Cave is just above the village of Psychro at 1025 meters altitude. According to Greek mythology, it is believed to be the place where Zeus, the father of Greek gods, was kept and fed from Amalthia, a goat, in secret to be protected from his father. The cave for centuries was considered a sacred place of cult worship, where offerings were made and few were allowed to enter. The most impressive sight is the lake at the lowest point, surrounded by massive stalactites and stalagmites.

Driving around the Lasithi Plateau that lies in an area of 130 km², we are going to reach Seli Ambelou at the northern entrance of the plateau. The place is overlooking a panoramic view of the plateau. In the 1950s and 1960s the plateau was one of Europe's first wind farms. There were about 16 thousand windmills pumping the groundwater, which the inhabitants used to feed their crops.Stop at Seli Ambelou for a lunch break.

Stop At: Platanus Tree, Main Square, Krasi, Crete 700 05 Greece
The tour will then be heading to the village of Krasi.
Krasi, is a small traditional village located 9 km to the south of the village of Malia set on the slope of Selena mountain. In the center of the village, there is a huge ancient plane tree ("Platanus"). The leaves and the branches of the tree provide with shade all over the square in a unique and unspoiled environment. The water springs and the fountains of the village are one of the most beautiful on the island of Crete.

Stop At: The Palace of Knossos, Knosos, Crete 714 09 Greece
Knossos palace is the capital of Minoan civilization, just 5km away on the south of Heraklion town. It is the largest of the preserved Minoan palatial centers on the island. Walk through it with your guide and find out how people lived 4.000 years ago, people that are believed to be the first Europeans, lived as an organized community in Crete and the center of their civilization the Palace itself. The Throne Room, the frescoes, the Minoan Columns, the water management will stimulate your imagination on how the organized community of the Minoans was living on the island back then.

Я выбрала экскурсию с визитной карточкой Крита - Кносским дворцом. Приложением к этому было посещение монастыря Богородицы Керы Кардиотисы и пещеры Зевса на плато Лассити. Покупала экскурсию онлайн на сайте, что оказалось очень удобно (через PayPal), т.к. все входные билеты уже были включены в стоимость и не нужно было стоять в очереди в кассы. Утром автобус всех собрал по отелям и мы отправились к монастырю в сопровождении русскоговорящего гида Христоса. На протяжении всей дороги Христос увлекательно рассказывал о достопримечательностях и истории острова Крит, греческой мифологии. В монастыре мы посетили церковь и музей: там есть на что посмотреть! Далее отправились на плато Лассити. Подъем на пещеру Зевса в спокойном темпе преодолеваестя вполне хорошо, но я шла побыстрее, чтобы хоть немного разогнать греческую еду) Можно подняться и на осликах. Нашагала около 30 этажей по данным телефона. Пещера небольшая, там прохладно - обязательно нужно одеться, об этом заранее предупреждали. Я ранее была уже в пещерах, поэтому сильно не впечатлилась, но для первой пещеры вполне интересно: сталактиты, сталагниты, влажность. У подножия подъема есть отличное местечко для перекуса вкуснейшей клубникой, питья кофе и свежевыжатых соков. После поехали на обед в таверну. Меню с ценами вполне стандартное, но вид был изумительный, вдалеке на холме гуляли козлики. Затем мы отправились в мастерскую, где нам провели мастер-класс по гончарному делу, каждый мог попробовать. Дегустировали масло, оливковую пасту и вино. Масло оказалось ооочень вкусным.Также там большой сувернирный магазин с их глинянными изделиями и прочими греческими сувенирами. Далее отправились к Кносскому дворцу. Христос очень интересно и увлекательно рассказывал историю минойской цивилизации, было очень познавательно. В послеобеденное время людей было мало и мы спокойно посмотрели все комнаты и обошли весь дворец. Христос подмечал разные детали, поэтому было интерсено слушать. Помимо этого он всегда подсказывал организационные моменты. В целом, все было очень организовано, четко по времени, с увлекательной экскурсией, ну и конечно отдельная благодарность за интересную экскурсию Христосу. Какие бы ни были достопримечательности, все равно все держится на людях.Юлия Г

Была на двух экскурсиях этой компании. Обе были отличные, благодаря хорошей организации и прекрасному экскурсоводу Христосу. Лассити и Кносский дворец - очень познавательная и в то же время развлекательная. Тут помимо исторически очень интерессного Кносского дворца ещё посещение пещеры и монастыр...

Лассити и Кносский дворец - очень познавательная и в то же время развлекательная. Тут помимо исторически очень интерессного Кносского дворца ещё посещение пещеры и монастыря, дегустация и мини урок гончарного мастерства. Экскурсия на Спиналонгу вообще включает всё, что может заинтересовать туриста: уютный городок Айос Николаус, морское путешествие, купание в прозрачной голубой воде, барбекю и конечно очень интересная экскурсия по острову Спиналонга. И отдельная благодарность гиду Христосу, с которым посчастливилось побывать в обоих мини путешествиях. Всегда приятно, когда экскурсии проводит знающий профессионал своего дела. СпасибоMarta_K

It’s a very intense trip, it could be narrowed only to Lasithi Plateu, Dikteon Cave, Knossos and lunch break. However, still recommend it

Was very good expidrence. Guides were very knowligible and we saw a lot in One day. We saw Knossos, had pottery class,lunch in vilige was great.

I liked the vatiety of the stops. It was is good mix and I learned a lot about the Greek history. I wished we had more time at the palace and more information about the history. For me could have cancelled the stop at the Taverne. Food was good, was feeling to be forced to eat there, because it ...

Great to see the history and sites! Tour guide was amazing and informative. Only downside was our tour group was a little rude and were impatient and pushing to get off the bus. No fault of the guided tour. Still worth a go!
