Seeing The Colosseum in person was a dream come true and it lived up to the hype! Learning about the history behind the storied building and all the events that went on inside it. Due to an accident with another guide, we had to join another tour that was in process for the forum and Palatine Hill portion. This was actually a blessing in disguise as our new tour guide Ardu was more entertaining which helped us stay engaged throughout the remainder of the tour. There’s so much history for this city and these items in particular, so I’m sure getting all the information into a 2.5-3 hour tour is difficult so we appreciated Ardu’s enthusiastic nature!I am usually not a fan of guided tours as I dread getting stuck with some boring guide for hours.
