We had an amazing time with our tour guides, "Gato" and Antonio. So much history crammed into the afternoon and evening. We chose to do the zip line, which was a little less exciting for my boyfriend than he had hoped for, but for my first time, it was perfect! We climbed the Coba temple, learned all about Mayans and their culture, zoomed off to a Cenote and swam in it! An unknown bucket list item for me for certain. We wrapped up our busy day with a dinner and a traditional Mayan show and demonstration of Pok Ta Pok. Be aware if you are staying in Cancun, the drive is quite long... we stopped on the way for trinkets, and bathroom, but no lunch. No lunch is advertised, and we didn't really think it out... but you won't be eating until nighttime. Water is provided. I highly recommend taking the "taxi" at the Mayan ruins. Having someone else peddle for you before and after climbing seems much better than biking yourself. Gato had lots of great information and he enjoyed answering questions.Lovely afternoon and evening out on this tour. Lovely afternoon and evening out on this tour. A ninety minute drive from our hotel - 20 mins Cancun side of Playa Del Carmen - and as it was a small tour group of nine, plus driver and guide we were in a little Toyota mini-van, not the most comfortable, but it turned out to be part of the charm as we met some really nice people, built up a camaraderie and it added to the day. Stopped en-route to pick up supplies and for a comfort break - cousins convenience store.....? - then again on the outskirts of Coba at gift shop. All proceeds go to local people and the tour guides also lived in Coba, which seemed appropriate. Guide - Samuel - was patient and informative, obviously proud of the Mayan culture. Took bikes, great fun - on a fifteen minute ride through the jungle (take insect repellent) then climbed the big ruin. Bit scary, but great views across the jungle and one of the last ruins you can still climb - although probably not for long. Come down on you backside, holding the rope if you are nervous and take decent shoes with tread and good support. Zip-Wired across the lake, not fast and felt quite safe, came to a slow stop with people waiting to help. Others did a 'cultural' side trip to village and meet some locals. We went on to a swim in a stunning underground Cenote, basic facilities, take towels and swim kit, but worth the effort. All joined up again for nice bbq meal in elevated open-side restaurant overlooking lake to watch sunset and a show of Mayan dances and rituals, again by the locals. Great afternoon and evening out.excelent attention. Very happy wuith this, all things made at time. the person who is wuith us pay always attention for all our requirements

We booked and prepaid for this excursion. ($258 for two of us) I also booked two excursions from other companies during our vacation. Both of those companies contacted me personally, right away with further details about our excursion, things to pack, what to expect, meeting points, hotel pick up details, etc. Upon booking this tour, they never reached out to me. I made multiple attempts to contact the tour company in the days before the scheduled excursion to iron out details, with the contact info they provided via phone call, text message, and trip advisor messaging. We never heard anything back. Our pick up window (11:30a-1:30p) came and went and we never heard anything from the excursion company. I read good reviews, but the fact we paid and then were ignored is unforgivable. Horrible business, and now I have to go through the refund process since we prepaid. Book with them at your own risk. This was our second time visiting Coba, because we had such a great experience the first time and wanted to share it with our kids. This was our second time visiting Coba, because we had such a great experience the first time and wanted to share it with our kids. The cons: - You can NOT climb the pyramid as advertised. We were told after we arrived that climbing was closed do to COVID precautions. - You will have to wear a mask on the grounds of Coba. It was 98 F when we went. - Our guide had limited English this time around. - We thought we were going zip lining, but it was not the case. The pros: - I traveled with two teenagers and wasn’t sure if they would like it. Seeing their faces light up when the largest pyramid came into view and when they jumped into the Cenote was priceless! - This is the first time we saw the evening show and it was pretty good. I was always curious about how the ball game was played and we got a good overview in an entertaining format. - The Mayan village was neat. We were greeted by an old couple who shared how to make corn tortillas, natural medicine and demonstrated their bee-hives. - The Cenote was very refreshing after a day of hiking. This is an experience you won’t see anywhere else in the world. I was happy to share with the kids and will always cherish the memory. - My wife got a migraine midway through. The driver was very accommodating and allowed my wife to rest in the van while the rest of the group went ahead. - The included meal was substantial and tasty. (Rice, beans, pasta, chicken, pork, salad, tortillas, bread) - The facilities are clean and well maintained.
