On this tour, we will first see the old town and the new town - both world heritage sites - before we leave the coach to visit the castle and the Holyroodhouse Palace, the official Scottish residence of the Queen.
We drive along the so called Royal Mile, the old Grassmarket in the old town and the Princes Street in the new town.
If possible, we will also drive to Arthur's Seat which is 250m high and one of the most beautiful urban landscapes in the world and with a terrific view (not possible on Sundays).
If we have enough time, we will also visit the harbour town Leith and will see the Royal yacht Britannia.
This tour is only recommendable for guests who have a prfound historical knowledge. For "normal" tourists who want to learn more about the current events in Edinburgh as well it's too exhausting.
We learned a lot of new and interesting things, paired with the typical British humour.
