I enjoyed the tour of Corfu and appreciated the help of the bus driver and his colleagues at the New Port who helped with my ticket. The pickup place (Nautilus Restaurant) was slightly different from where I expected (Mon Repos Palace Hotel) and the info I had on my phone was different from the ticket confirmation the driver was used to seeing. Not speaking Greek I was happy that it all worked. The tour was fine. Don't know how the drivers fit their large bus through the narrow streets! I would not have seen as much of Corfu without the bus tour. Also the online help was able to give me my refund right away for a second ticket that was accidentally purchased because I had too many windows opened on the Viator website.Once we found the bus it was smooth sailing. Got a good view of the city of Corfu . Recommend ro anyone who wants a quick tour of the city

I have used loads of these sight seeing bus tours around Europe and always found them informative and easy to use . Not this one I am afraid.. We paid 50 Euros for a hop on hop off tour. To Achillion palace, which my wife was really looking forward to.. They were advised to run hourly we took the 11:30 bus which left a 12:30 & 13:30 to follow.. We were aware that the palace museum was closed, but the garden's were open. When we were dropped off near the palace ( parked cars stopped the bus getting to the museum) the driver pointed up the road and muttered 30 minutes... We had a very pleasant walk around the garden's, Then went outside to wait for the next bus. And waited , and waited and waited some more.. After a further 1 and a half hours we called the company who were not the most understanding.. They were abrupt and said do you want me to send another bus up there just for you.. It will take 30 - 40 minutes.. . . We chose to use a regular service bus that was there at the time.. At a cost of 5 Euros for both of us.. We got the reception at our hotel to call the tour company who agreed to give a partial refund if we went to the office.. A few days later we called into the office and spent 30 + mins listening to why we were wrong and the tour company were correct... And the hop on hip off part of the tour did not include the palace. Either side did ..😂.. And as no one turned up for the later tours , it was ok to cancel the later tours. Leaving us stranded at the palace...🤔.. To be honest,, we ended up being given a full refund..but we were left with a bad taste . So my advice is forget the 50 Euros for a sub standard tour, and use the normal bus service. Save 💰money and be sure of not been abandoned..Your drivers were lovely. They explained things along the way. I was on a cruise and there was an office in the cruise terminal with maps and a knowledgeable guy to help us go where we wanted to. The busses ran frequently. A very enjoyable experience.

For a mere €20 we had access to the hop on hop off bus for almost 2 full days. However, the most valuable and incredibly entertaining and educational component was the walking tour that is offered at 11 and 1300. Dimitrios Karalis was our guide, he is a graduate student in Athens and also a very knowledgeable historian and archaeologist. The walking tour is a comprehensive three hour in-depth review of hidden gems within the city of Athens. Dimitrios is incredibly knowledgeable even at the PhD level. He speaks perfect English and his stories are riveting making the three hours flyby almost too fast. Other private tours (there were only seven people in our group) cost up to €100. The fact that this walking tour is included in the €20 price for the hop on hop off bus is truly unbelievable. This was the best part of the entire week in Athens!Worst hop on hop off ever. Feel totally ripped off. 19 Euro for nothing. Listening device didn't work. Jammed into the seat. Seat being wet The second line you have to pay extra for. Nothing really to see. I'd skip this whole island as it's in total disrepair.
