We were picked up at the first stop on the tour, opposite the Suncliffe Hotel where we were staying and enjoyed the tour. However we were not told that the bus would NOT return to the bus stop where we had departed from. We were a group of 4 ladies aged 80 and close to 80 and all with health problems and had to walk back to our hotel. This was a considerable distance and all uphill. In addition it was raining torrential and we were all in pain and soaking wet when we arrived. We have all said we would not go back to Bournemouth due to this bad experience. We got the 48 hour bus and boat ticket which was worth it. We got the 48 hour bus and boat ticket which was worth it. We got the 10am bus from Bournemouth with driver George who was very informative about which rich and famous people lived in which houses, the recorded information was also very informative. However on the way back with a different driver the bus had a fault with the doors, the driver didn’t let people stood waiting or those still on the bus know what’s was happening. When the bus did get going he drove quite fast and didn’t speak at all. The atmosphere was lightened by the awful ‘Bournemouth by the sea’ song playing 2 or three times in a row causing laughter among the passengers. The fact we could get on and off whatever suited us 😊or do a full round trip since the weather wasn’t the best that day.

It was a bit breezy on the top uncovered part of the bus but I had worn warner clothes to cope. I enjoyed the commentary and hearing historical information. The music played was pleasant also 👍

Our first driver 10.00am on 16th June was excellent. He chipped in extra details along the way, particularly when we got to the expensive Sandbanks houses. We got off the bus at stop 10 to have a wander and then caught the next bus at stop 8, so going around the nice houses again. The 2nd driver just drove around fairly fast which made the bus noisy and difficult to hear the recorded commentary, we were glad that we had seen it on the first run. We got off again at Poole quay and spent a couple of hours looking around and having lunch. We returned with our first driver from Poole at about 3pm and stayed on the bus until alighting back in BournemouthI travelled on the bus on Sunday for a day with the kids. As a local I found this very informative Dave the driver was very good. And rob who sold me the tickets was very passionate about his job. The whole experience was easy by the knowledge of your staff . Hope they get credit for this 🙂
