My mom and I had a fantastic day tour with our favourite tour guide Frank (Paco). He picked us up at the Villa we were staying at in Playa La Ropa. We did some touring around Zihuatanejo, we stopped at the Centro market and picked up a few snacks at an in town bakery. We then drove out in the countryside and stopped in a small town where a family operate a bakery out of their home. They bake everything in a big wood burning clay oven. *Later on in the day we were able to go back and purchase the baked products. So delicious! We also visited a fishing village at Barra de Potosi. Beautiful beach there, lots of waves in the ocean we saw a few surfers out there. We had lunch there and I had the most delicious chicken fajitas and sopes. We took a boat ride through the mangroves and out into the lagoon where we saw local fisherman wading through the water with their fishing nets. It was a nice ride through the countryside seeing the coconut and mango plantations. He identified different plants and their purpose. Our guide Paco was so informative and gave us lots of information about the places we visited. My mom booked 3 different tours with Luis tours and we were fortunate to have Paco as our tour guide for all of them and he spoke English very well. I would say our day trip was well worth it.Wonderful, Excellent 3 day 2 nite tour which included Santa Clara, Tlapujahua, Kapula, Pátzcuaro and Morelia and many unexpected stops. Luis has excellent English and knowledge of the history of the area. His van is new. Choices in accommodation was superb as the choices/ suggestions for food.

what we saw was very good. The plantation, the fishing village with lunch and lagoon boat ride were excellent. Fransisco our guide is very knowledgeable and his english language is also very good. But we didn't see all the sites as written in the tour writeup. Didn't see anything in Zihua or the look out view hence otherwise would of been a rating of 5 for sure.My husband and I toured with Luis' dad and sister and had a wonderful time exploring the area. My husband and I toured with Luis' dad and sister and had a wonderful time exploring the area. Jose is a wealth of information and he and Ana were a joy to be around. We visited the Marina, different sights around Ixtapa/Zihuat, the local market and paseo de pescador, visited a plantation and brick/tile maker, then to Barra de Potosi where we had a delicious lunch in a picturesque location followed by a boat ride through the lagoon. Jose answered our many questions throughout the day and we have come to love this area even more than we already had! Afterward we wanted to spend more time on Playa Blanca and Jose found a wonderful place to drop us off at where we enjoyed a few extra hours of food/drink/sunshine and a long lovely walk on a very quiet and secluded beach. The day was perfect! If you’ve been to Zihua, you know there’s a standard for service, but let me say, our tour guide Francisco went blew that standard out of the clear blue waters . If you’ve been to Zihua, you know there’s a standard for service, but let me say, our tour guide Francisco went blew that standard out of the clear blue waters . Not only was he personable, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about his love of the history of Zihua, his personal knowledge of the places and many of the families makes it seem like you’re there not as a tourist, but as a friend. Francisco drove us around the different areas, explaining everything along the way, he was a steady driver and I felt very safe sitting in the air conditioned car going from destination to destination. When you go to new places, it’s sometimes hard to find someone you trust, especially for a tour into the heart of some of the Mexican villages, i can say with certainty, Francisco is the right guy, if you can book him.
