Additional information
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Due to weather, flights may be 120 to 140 minutes in length
- Wheelchair accessible - if assistance is required, passenger must provide their own caregiver
- All pilots and aircraft are FAA-certified
- Infants must sit on laps
- Helicopter holds 6 passengers; larger groups may be separated
- All guests weighing 270 lbs or more when weighed at check-in, will be required to purchase an additional empty seat less 15% before fuel surcharge to safely balance the aircraft. They will be guaranteed a window seat.
- Most travelers can participate
- Seating is assigned based on weight and balance following guidelines which have been approved by the FAA. We cannot guarantee seats as the weight of guests must be balanced within the aircraft.
- A seat upgrade is not a guarantee; however, if you purchase a co-pilot and/or window seat upgrades, we will do our best to seat you in your purchased location. If we cannot accomodate a seat upgrade due to weight and balance requirements for your flight (or for any other reason), we will refund your upgrade purchase at check-in.
- Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
- Social distancing enforced throughout experience
- Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas
- Gear/equipment sanitized between use
- Transportation vehicles regularly sanitized
- Guides required to regularly wash hands
- Mask Mandate is no longer in effect after March 26, 2022. However, all guests on state airport property will be required to wear a mask through 18 April 2022 per the TSA guideline. If guests appear to be experiencing any symptoms of illness, they may be asked to wear a mask or fly at another date.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 12 hours of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability

Cancellation
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience.

OMG. OMG. OMG. So glad we chose Paradise for our helicopter trip! I was a little apprehensive to do one with my whole family on board but Joel (the ground crew, the receptionist and everyone involved) was amazing. It turns out we even have Marine pilot connections with Joel. At that point...I knew we were in good hands. Joel is a steady flyer, so informative and has such an eye for the random sightings on the trip. If you are going to go in the air...just do the 2 hour circle tour! I was shocked to see all of the different climates on the big island. The waterfalls...never imagined they’d be like that! We had some clouds the morning of our tour on the Hilo side/Mauna Kai but Joel gave us what we signed up for...he went above and beyond. One of the things I really liked was his rotating the copter so the other side had had the same view if something special. Two days later we did a ground circle tour with another company, which was equally awesome, and it was so interesting to know what we were looking at since we had such an informative tour from above. This is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you Paradise for taking care of us and making a mama bear feel at ease. It was so peaceful up there.Claudiusfx

We went on the 8am tour with window seats. Picked up at 6am and learned a lot of great tips as we headed to the airport. Landing and take off is incredibly smooth. We had a transmission warning light come on within 10mins of take off. We circled back to switch helicopters and had a wonderful tour...

We had a transmission warning light come on within 10mins of take off. We circled back to switch helicopters and had a wonderful tour. Shiro, the pilot, narrated the tour well and was kind enough to circle photoworthy sights so both sides of the helicopter could see it. Although the winds were a bit rough, he managed to keep us quite steady. Albeit being prone to motion sickness, he kept me fine! Definitely would recommend them and take another tour soon!DiveTraveler1976

Awesome tour! Paradise Helicopters provided a top tier experience in which they went above and beyond. This was my wife and I's first helicopter experience and it did not disappoint. The operation takes safety very seriously and it showed, making all participants comfortable. Pilot ensured that all riders got equal photo ops at all view points, positioning the helicopter expertly. Our pilot even showed us a spot that normally isn't on the tour and took extra time to allow us to view a pod of dolphins swimming in the ocean. I highly recommend and will definitely repeat the next opportunity I have! Thank you Paradise Helicopters for a memory that my wife and I will not soon forget!Charles E
