Beautiful island, and an OK budget tour, but check your location before going. If you are in Heraklion, it can be a very long bus ride (for us, 2 hours) since everyone needs to be picked up from their specific hotel location, to be followed by an hour-long boat ride. Bus also would not drive down directly to our hotel (Amirandes) so we had to take a taxi up to the main road and walk on the way back, despite our hotel permitting buses to drive down to the hotel. It was fine, since it was about 10 mins walking, but a little agitating since the bus went to everyone else’s hotel directly. The tour seems to primarily consists of a bus and the guide walking you to the boat, which takes you to the island. Lunch and boat fee are separate (not included), so bring euros with you on the trip. You can also purchase snacks and drinks on the boat. Bring towels and an umbrella (and lots of sunscreen) to the island.
