Maria was so knowledgable and fun. We had the best time. We had the cenotes to ourselves and the lunch was great.
Joseline “Chepa” was an amazing guide! She was very knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture which made the experience even better. From the food to swimming in the cenote to Chichen Itza itself, can’t recommend this enough!
Tanya was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly, she taught us a lot about the history and the culture of the Mayan people. Lunch was very nice and the cenote was perfect!
Santi was the best tour guide. He was friendly and kind and very passionate about making sure everyone made the best out of the tour. He was very knowledgeable and also made sure to focus on known facts and not sell touristy myths. Although the tour was a full day, we spent enough time at each site and felt satisfied with each stop. I normally don’t enjoy tour lunches but the restaurant Santi took us had many delicious options and was very well worth it. The size of the group was also perfect since we were able to interact with each other and move quickly. The cenote we went to was absolutely stunning as well. There was only one other small group so we were able to take many pictures by ourselves without feeling crowded. Overall, highly recommend the tour and the company. Their focus is on showing true local experiences and provide the most valuable information to make the experience the best possible. Would definitely go back and choose Mexican Kan Tours.
We had an amazing day! Our guide Santi was really kind and courteous. Everything was organised perfectly.
We booked this trip on line based on other reviews. We ended up with only 4 in our party which made the day much more personal. Our guide Said was fantastic. His knowledge was amazing and he was so personable that we felt like we were on a day out with an old friend. Excellent value for money and included a three course lunch. When we come back to Mexico will definitely use Mexico kan tours again, and if Said is still with them we will definitely request to go with him if possible. Well done to this company.
We really liked this tour. Our guide was very friendly and informative. Chichen Itza is obviously amazing, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the other parts of this tour. Swimming in the cenote was an awesome experience and the one they chose wasn't too crowded like I've heard others are. And finally, the food at the restaurant they took us too in Valladolid was really really good. Great experience overall.
This was an amazing tour! Alberto is extremely knowledgable about the region and the Mayan history- his presentation was detailed and succinct. They were also very punctual and pleasant, I would definitely suggest you check out a tour with this group.
A very fun day trip with a great group, guide (Andrea) and driver. There were 6 of us visiting, 1 guide (Andrea), 1 guide in training (Marta - who will be an amazing guide once she starts leading her own ) and the driver. The transit time between spots was fun intermixed with chats and naps and we walked away with new friends. Highly recommend guided tours with smaller companies because you don’t get lost in a horde of people coming in a huge bus and still get to hear/learn about the culture, history, and other interesting informative nuggets you would have never learned going on your own. We even got recommendations for food, drinks, live music and more places to visit (that don’t pop up in the usual google search - places to visit) and they were ALL great recommendations. We appreciated every spot we went to. The only con was that we would have loved more time to explore Chichen Itza and Valladolid but overall a memorable trip worth the price and time. So if you’re on the fence, just book it! Side note, we (3 gal pals travelling together) the day after we arrived in Tulum and it was the perfect way to start our time here. Just do it! Highly recommend going on one.
This tour was overall pretty darn good. It really packed in an awful lot into one day which is just what we wanted. The ruins are awesome, the cenote was incredible and the visit to Valladolid was a fabulous way to finish the day. The fact that it rained ferociously on the drive back was certainly no fault of the tour. The driver deserves credit for his diligence and care. The guide was certainly knowledgeable but seemed to be less than enthusiastic about his role regarding customer care.
The tour was awesome. It was a long drive from out hotel but totally worth. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared a ton of stories on the drive and throughout the tour. The snacks and lunch provided were amazing. Would 100% recommend!
Great one day tour! Alejandra was a very knowledgeable and fun tour guide. Exceeded expectations!
Our family of four took this trip with Mexico Kan Tours. It was fabulous! Our guide Alexandra was knowledgeable and friendly, our driver Antonio was great. Really awed by the ruins and Alexandras detailed explanations. The Cenote was amazing and the side trip to the spanish colonial era town of Valladolid as well as the lunch we had there were fantastic. You must buy chocolate at the shop on the square!
Both my sister and I loved this tour! We were able to see a great deal without feeling rushed at all. Our tour guide and driver were both excellent and were able to share many facts and suggestions for the places we visited. The lunch and snacks they arranged were both delicious and very filling. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour.
We had so much fun on this trip! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. The cenote was absolutely beautiful and not overrun by tourists. We would highly recommend this trip with Mexico Kan Tours.
We had a great time, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Wonderful tour. The cenote we visited was so beautiful! The food we had in Valladolid was delicious. Chichen Itza was amazing. The stay in Chichen Itza was a bit too quick for me, but I am aware that the guides have a schedule to keep and it was a tour of many activities. It was a great introductory visit, however. The guide seemed grumpy at times, but overall, it was fine. In general, it was a good tour. Recommended.
Tour guide was excellent, knows her history, speaks 4 or 5 languages and was very pleasant. The entire day was perfect, weather perfect, the drive wasn't bad, early to Chichen Itza before crowds, yummy mexican fast food at the Cenote, and then another wonderful meal at a quaint restaurant in the town of Valladolid. I have been to Mexico 5 other times and I enjoyed both of my excursions provided by Viator more than any other.
We had a good explanation from our guide of the various structures in Chichen Itza as well as some time to ourselves to explore, plus we got there before all the crowds. At the cenote, you can swim there are some fish so bring a snorkel if you like or you can just chill out in a hammock 50 pesos extra if you don't want to swim, and a snack is provided. The town of Valladolid is very cute, there is some time to wander into the nice shops, and we ate at a very good restaurant, they have vegetarian food too! It was a small group and we all enjoyed this tour.
This trip was amazing! Alejandra, our tour guide was very thorough and gave us so much information. I felt as though we were traveling through the Ancient Yucatan to the Colonial Times within the day. One thing that I really appreciated about this trip was the Eco-Friendly spots they took us to. The Cenote was quiet and beautiful, I never wanted to leave it. Highly recommend to those stay anywhere near Chichen Itza.
The trip was overall great. It started out pretty early, but that probably helped to avoid some of the larger tour groups when we arrived at Chichen Itza. The tour, guide, and food were wonderful. My only wish were that there were a little more time to explore on our own as well.
Tour was awesome and the guide was very knowledgable. Would have liked to have more time at the ruins in Chichen Itza. The Cente and Mayian village was great!!!
Fantastic tour! Our guide was very thorough and informative. These are some very popular areas but our guide took us during off-peak hours so we avoided the crowds. We had a great time and this was a tremendous value--highly recommended!!
