I am not so sure what is the business model here because apparently they have partnerships with other agencies but definitely RUN from these guys if you’re looking for a stress free day. I started having issues with them 7:00am. I came to the hotel they asked me to wait at and nobody showed up. So I called the number that is on the ticket and the guy is was extremely rude and careless about the issue. I told him I’ve been waiting and he said “the driver was waiting too, so he already left” with a tone of somebody who didn’t believe me at all. Luckily I have a picture proving that I was waiting and it shows the time so I can at least prove a point, if that’s of any help. There was a van outside and nobody called my name and the name on the van was different than the name provided in the ticket which is ALSO different than the agency I originally booked with. I would not be able to know if this was my guy or not and all the arrangements were a mess. Not a single contact was made, not a call, not a message, nothing. I’ve been told by the careless guy on the phone that I needed to go meet the driver somewhere so I paid 22usd more for a service that wasn’t provided and was supposed to be included. I did what I have to do to not miss the day I planned for myself but the sh*tshow kept happening. I arrived at the location to checkin and get a bracelet and there are some third party also careless and also rude people taking care of the procedures. I was told the driver would be waiting but I kept going in and out the mall zone looking for info until someone decided to help (the only dude who wasn’t rude and careless the whole morning, bless him). They charge extra 20usd for state fee and the conversion rate if you pay in pesos is a scam, which is a low move considering you are in Mexico and this is their national currency. So on top of all the issues, you still have to give them money if you want to proceed and try to have a good day out after all of that. Awful customer service, awful people and service providers. I hope the places are fun so the money at least pays for something. I’ve been all around Mexico and Central America and there are kind and sweet people that are happy to have you here. This agency is just not one of them. AVOID and look for one of the many other options around the area. This is just not worth the stress, other competitors can for sure do it better.

The tour is nice, but could be a bit more organized as the pickup spots are crowded with people going in multiple directions. More info could be added. Also lots of sale opportunities from locals. Other than that the tour does take you to nice spots and the cenote after walking in the heat of Chichen Itza is a great way to get refreshed.

The guides were very kind and knowledgeable. It was a great day. A bit too long but good. Would of skipped the cenote and town at the end

Was a smooth trip for the price and the number of stops. A bit of a long day about 12-13 hours. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful the whole way.

The guides, Francisco and David, were excellent. They were fluent in English and Spanish and highly knowledgeable about the history of the ruins, Mayan culture and Mexico generally. They also did a great job at herding us from place to place in friendly but firm manner.

We had a fantastic day touring these locations. It seems like a long day when you read the description, and it is, but this tour is absolutely jam-packed with activities. We were certainly never bored! We also had a fantastic guide, Victor, who kept everything running safely and smoothly. All said, we had a blast! Time well spent.

This tour was horrible. They throw you on a smelly charter bus with 50 people and then drive for 4 hours to a restaurant. They then attempt to coerce you into buying “locally made” items (very clearly made in China) and feed you sub par food. Also, drinks are not included with lunch, don’t let the servers trick you. A bottle of water will run you $3 USD. Once you finally make it to Chitchen Itza (Around 2pm for us) you spend about an hour quickly learning about it all. JUST AN HOUR! Meanwhile you spend nearly 2 at the restaurant. Then, once you leave Chitchen Itza you proceed to a cenote. That was the worst part, no organization, hundreds of people, and more HIDDEN FEES! Stay far, far away from this trip. A private trip is well worth the cost!! You could save yourself 6+ hours and many, many headaches!!

I asked your representative to give me the total about for 3 people, everything included. After I paid $200.00 I was forced ti pay $75.00 more. I have booked with this company for years, well, no more!

Great tour and the guides were amazing. However they did not follow the timeline. Online it said we would be done by 7, they were 2.5 hours late in getting us back to where we started. I think the stop at the first place was too long as well. Great guides and great day but too long of a day.

The operator didn’t pick me up at my hotel, which was part of the package. Needless to say, I didn’t go and want a refund.

Chichen Itza and Vallodolid are worth seeing. Not sure this package is the best way as crowd control is a major problem. Also, despite what my booking said, water was NOT provided at Chichen Itza. Bring lots of water as it is only available at the main entrance and it gets hot. There isn't enough time to really enjoy the sites. Also, breakfast was NOT free. A fee of 5 pesos was required to get a plate at the breakfast. The cenote was interesting but if you go don't bother with taking swimming gear. Changing is a hassel and you can just wade in as the water isn't deep. There were problems arranging travel back to the several hotels for all of the tourists, we didn't make it back to our hotel until 10:30pm.

We enjoyed the tour. Did the 3 for 1 tour (Chichen Itza, cenote and shopping). We liked Chichen Itza but would skip the other stops as the day is way too long. It was about 13 hours from Playa del Carmen. About 6 hours on bus.

First Cancun Vacation Experts telling you the experience include certain things and then you find out it does not. When you ask about it. Nobody knows anything. They tell you it includes lunch but yet the charge you the drinks at a high rate. It was a huge group the experience took forever around 14-15hr. They are always in a rush. Rushing everyone. Almost to the point of harassment.

First of all let me start by saying that a visit to Chichen Itza is an absolitely must do visit in Mexico. One can simply not miss the opportunity to visit this new world wonder while visiting Mexico. I must say that this toir had some ups and down. Let me start with the good things: The price is relatively cheap compared to the other tours. The tourguides spoke good english during the tour. We felt save and looked after. Also the information in chichen itza was interesting. However there were also multiple things to improve. The excursion took way too long because of waiting and useless activities such as mandatory shopping hour. After the pickup in the morning at 7 oclock we were gathered to a central place where we had to wait an hour to get into a touring bus which had almost no leg room. During the busride we had too much useless information about healing stones (which were for sale after) which we could not care less about. To summarize: the tour is safe and cheap. However with some major flaws, mandatory shopping and waiting...

In mid Jan 2019 our gang of four adults took the Express Tour with Cancun Adventures from Playa Del Carmen to Chichen Itza and back. The 12 passenger van picked us up at about 7AM from our resort and we were dropped back off at a little after 3PM. Driver Lisandro and guide Mary were excellent. I am a history buff and so I was drinking in all the information about Mayan culture, their beliefs, their way of life. My wife enjoyed wandering the grounds on a beautiful January day. We did the trip on a Wed in the middle of our week at the beach resort. It was kind of a nice break from sitting around all day. What the Mayans were able to accomplish with primitive tools and methods is impressive. Only about 15% of the Chichen Itza civilization has been exposed and the other 85% remains beneath the jungle overgrowth. The van takes a toll road route to the ruins which is the fastest way. Guide Mary helped fill the drive time with interesting information about both the Mayan culture and was also willing to engage our questions about modern day life in Playa Del Carmen. There are other options where you can see the ruins as well as a visit a Cenote, a zip line, get lunch, etc. Those options would be fine, but sometimes I feel that I get weary of being "handled" on some of those all day trips. It can feel like you are a bit trapped after 8 to 10 hours being led around. This time I just wanted to see the ruins and get back to our all inclusive resort. I'm glad that we booked with Cancun Adventures and would use them again. The only drawback to visiting Chichen Itza these days are the hundreds of "venders" that are pushing souvenirs inside the grounds of the ruins. I understand that these locals don't have much and they depend on the small income that they get from selling trinkets to tourists, but it kinda ruins the experience. Sometimes you find yourself worried more about rushing past a section of vendors or avoiding eye contact, rather than focusing on enjoying the surroundings that you came to see. Most vendors are respectful and they aren't overly pushy, but they are almost everywhere. Next time I would probably try to book with Cancun Adventures rather than through the resort like we did. Could probably save a few bucks, but I don't know for sure.

Marco, our guide was Amazing, maybe little hard to follow in the explannation, because is switching from spannish to english. Other than that, we maybe need some more time in Chichen Itza and the Cenote and less time in other places.

This was an informative and immersive tour. Our guide Martin was very knowledgeable. He explained a lot of things to us on our way to Chichen Itza. However, he had to say everything in both English and Spanish which slowed things down a bit.

We got picked up exactly at the time we were given and after a few stops to pick up other people and a bathroom/snacks stop, we were on our way. First stop was Valladolid, a colonial-era town, which was fun to see and walk around. Next stop was a Mayan co-op, with authentic but on the more expensive side souvenirs. A demonstration on the making of corn tortillas and a type of Mayan BBQ followed. Then we had lunch which was a decent buffet drinks were extra. Here you had the opportunity to purchase a personalized Mayan birth certificate for 370 pesos.

We then drove to Chichen Itza. Things are kind of chaotic at the entrance so stick with the group. It's a short walk to the archaeological site, but the weather is much hotter than on the coast. We then split into an English-speaking and a Spanish-speaking group. We walked around for a bit more than an hour. The El Castillo pyramid is really cool, and Martin showed us some neat tricks regarding the acoustics of it. Afterwards, we toured a sacrificial building and a ballgame court. We then had 40min to walk around by ourselves take pictures, buy souvenirs, see the cenote that's a short walk North of the pyramid. I wish we were given a bit more free time.
Then we went back to the bus, and drove to a really scenic cenote that's closeby. It was very crowded, but it's so pretty to see and swim in. The amount of time we were given here was reasonable. We then headed back to the van and drove to Playa.

My suggestion would be to spend less time at the co-op and instead be given extra time at Chichen Itza.
