Relax in the square, visit a local farm or hike in nearby parks.

Chefchaouen itself is a fun, easy going, beautiful place, with lots of shopping opportunities for local made products. The locals were very friendly. Will definitely recommend Umar & Safari Desert Tours to friends & family.A very long day but well worth the trip. Chefchaouen was a beautiful city and we loved it. The colors were great and picturesque. We left with many great quality deals as well. Easily recommended. Note: Chefchuouen is a 4-5 hour drive from Casablanca one way. So there is a lot of time spent on the road on this tour that can't be avoided. If you are prone to motion sickness there are some curvy mountain roads as you get close to Chefchuouen. That being said, Chefchuouen is definitely not to be missed on a trip to Morocco and we had a great time on this tour! Our driver was very nice and extremely professional. The car was stocked with fresh water, had wifi the entire way, and even Bluetooth if you wanted to play your own music during the drive! Once we got to Chefchuouen we were met by the local guide who not only took us to all the best photo spots but also taught us a lot about Chefchuouen's history. We had lunch (not included) inside of a road with a nice view and a walk through the medina which is so much calmer than those in Fez or Marrakech. As for timing, I felt we had just enough time to see what Chefchuouen had to offer and never felt rushed by the guide to leave. He did bring us to a rug shop but fortunately there was no pressure to buy anything and the shop owner was actually very nice to talk to.
