The garden and home are beautiful but we needed bug spray for the mosquitoes. The tour guides were very good. Enjoyed it all.We had very interesting and entertaining guides. This is a wonderful tour....very relaxing and informative. And the bus was very comfortable.

The day was well planned and we were able to see a lot in o relatively short amount of time. If you don’t have your own transportation in Charleston and want to see the Magnolia Plantation and a nice overview of the city, this is the perfect tour.

Scott (van driver and tour guide) was informative and I appreciated that his voice carried well. I never had to ask him to raise his voice. We did not realize at booking the tour was in 2 parts. The historical tour was after the plantation tour and required we change buses. We ended up skipping the historical city tour as the buses were large and presumably crowded. The plantation grounds were nice. The camellias and some azaleas were in bloom but I expect the grounds are beautiful in the Spring. It was a lot of the same thing. In all ground areas. The plantation house was really just a bunch of rooms with old furniture and pictures of the family. The house tour guide knew her stuff. The slavery to freedom tour was a busy for us as we could not hear thr guide’s presentation. I suggested an area in the open area be reserved for the hearing impaired as I heard only 20 words or so. We felt rushed in touring the grounds, house, and slavery presentation. I say skip the house tour
