What to expect
Join us for a 3-4 hour guided kayak tour on the Beautiful Lake Pleasant. Our Kayak Tours are a great way to escape and experience wildlife up close and personal and to paddle through coves only available to kayakers. Both paddle trips are a great beginner outing and all skill levels are welcome to attend. You will be provided with all kayaks, paddles and life vests. Wildlife you may expect to see include Wild Burro, Deer, Javelina, Coyotes, and multiple bird species including Bald Eagles. Winters can be a bit cool and the Summers could be hot so please dress accordingly. Your feet may get wet so you will need to wear either water shoes, sandals, or an old pair of sneakers. Footwear must be worn at all times. All tours are provided with plenty of water and a healthy snack. Please contact us anytime by phone or email for any inquiries about tours and scheduling. Please show up 15-20 minutes early for check in. We look forward to seeing you on the water.

Lake Pleasant is one of the most beautiful and wildlife filled lakes in Arizona. A tour by Desert Breeze Kayaking or renting one of their kayaks is the best way to really experience the lake. John n Brenda are by far the most enjoyable rental companies we have found. My wife and I have ;been with them several times and each time we meet up with them we feel like we are visiting with old friends. If you love the water and being in a kayak, Desert Breeze Kayaking is on experience you do not want to miss. See you guys next time we come to the lake. My husband I went to AZ in mid May, we booked ahead to take the 6am Sunrise Helm's Island tour with Desert Breeze Kayaking. We arrived and were briefed on safety and use of the kayak. We opted for tandem so one of could snap pics. Lake Pleasant did not disappoint and neither did the tour guides. We were some what experienced in kayaking so it was not difficult to navigate and keep up with our guide who showed us local flora along with interesting facts on the area including the history of the dam and its builders. Although the sun was already bright at 6am, the tour was still delightful. We saw groups of wild burrows, swallows, jumping fish, blue heron, and various birds. The tour gave us cold water and several nutritious snacks. We even rescued a swallow from a 'pin cushion' cactus. Over-all the morning was relaxing an peaceful on Lake Pleasant with Desert Breeze Kayaking. A must experience for those who love to be outside and experience the peacefulness of just paddling around!A husband and wife team, Brenda and John, took us on a 3-hour kayak tour of the lake and Burro Creek and it was awesome!!! A husband and wife team, Brenda and John, took us on a 3-hour kayak tour of the lake and Burro Creek and it was awesome!!! Beautiful, serene, easy paddling, early morning to beat the heat. They took such good care of us from wonderful snacks and water for each of our kayaks, toiletries, a pop-up tent to do #1 in if we needed it), getting the kayaks in and out, helping us out, providing lots of information of the flora of the area, pointing out wildlife. We saw several wild burros, eagles, mallard ducks that they had brought food for. Highly recommend!!!
