Fantastic tour and guide. Lots of fun and perfect timing. We were given a lot of things to do and time to do it and she was good with my parents who are older and slow
Georgio was a fantastic tour guide. Unfortunately the weather did not permit the tour of the Blue Grotto so he arranged for us to take a boat tour around the entire island that was even more than we could ask for. We were limited with time and he made sure we experienced all the sites in great detail.
Our guide Marcella was amazing - knowledgeable and friendly! We met her at the dock (just ask around for Rafael Tours if you can't find the right guide immediately) and she quickly got us on the next ferry to Capri! Unfortunately, we were not able to get into the Blue Grotto, but Marcella quickly rearranged our schedule so that we could do a boat cruise around the island instead.
We started the day in Anacapri and Marcella showed us around, where to find the best views and some delicious free samples! During our free time we took the chairlift up to the top of Mount Solaro It was AMAZING! Worth the extra $13. Then we met back up with the group to go to the town of Capri which was much more crowded but we had about an hour of free time to get something to eat. Marcella then took us to the boat tour which was a great replacement for the Blue Grotto, we saw the White Grotto and the Coral Grotto. At the end of the tour, Marcella gave us the option of leaving with her to head back to Sorrento or staying around Capri to head back later on our own.
Some reviews had said they could have done the same things independently for cheaper. Yes, you could have but I doubt you could have navigated Capri as seamlessly and quickly as we did with Marcella. Worth the money!
Great guide! The day could not have gone any better. It saved us so much time by booking this tour. It allowed us to skip the long lines in Naples and Capri while we totally enjoyed our day.
Capri and Anacapri are of course splendid, and even though Blue Grotto was closed, there’s so much more to see from the boat ride around the island and on the island, such fantastic views and picture moments, and the tour guide really hustled to help us minimize lines and maximize the value of our time and also had interesting info to tell us. While it’s possible to put the boat trips, etc. together on your own and save money, I think it’s worth the extra doing it as a package with the guide.
We spent an amazing day in Capri with our tour guide Allesandra. She was masterful in getting our group to the front of every line. She provided great details of what to see and how to see it. It was a very hot day when we were there so she provided alternative things to do. Wonderful trip! Blue Grotto was amazing! Chair lift on Capri amazing!
We were on week long cruise and our last stop was in Naples and decided to travel to Capri for the day. We met our guide Brunilla and she was very friendly and accommodating to my family of four. We were able to see the blue grotto, travel around town via mini bus and take a bout tour around the island. Had a fantastic time. Brunilla was an awesome tour guide.
The tour was wonderful and Marcella made it that way. She was very knowledgable about the history surrounding the beautiful island and planning our free time to get the most out of the tour. We were able to go to the Blue Grotto and took a different navigation than everyone else which was much more efficient - we were in and out of the Blue Grotto. Highly recommend.
What a great tour! I loved capri anacapri and blue grotto! Definitely worth it. Georgi our tour guide was great! Beautiful views to capture great pictures
A splendid day trip and Anna Marie was an excellent guide. It was busy, as expected, but still fun and interesting.
This is an absolutely fantastic trip. The whole day ran smoothly from start to finish, and lots of this was down to our guide, Paolo, who was absolutely fantastic. Meeting us at molo beverello, we boarded the boat to Capri, with Paolo giving us tips as to where to sit to get the best views of the coastline, and asking us to use the boat's toilets before meeting at the back of the boat 5 minutes before docking to be able to get on our tour straight away. We were taken to a minibus which departed straight away for the blue grotto, which we were fortunate enough to be able to enter, ( as it closed 30 minutes after our visit due to high seas!!) A mini bus then took us to Anacapri, where we got straight on a chair lift to the top of the island. The views from there were amazing, and we'll worth the extra €12 each. On our return Paolo met us and showed us the best places to go, and a good place to eat, leaving us to explore this beautiful town on our own, and asked us all to meet at the bus station at a set time for our return. As all 8 of us were wanting to take a boat ride round the island, Paolo organised it for us as we descended to Capri. He showed us the main square, and the "rodeo drive" of Capri, then took us down to the port via the funicular. Having rung ahead to the boat, it meant the boat was there waiting for us as we arrived. The boat ride was an extra €18 each, but we felt this was really good value. The boat trip took an hour, and the crew were fabulous, giving us lots of information about the grottos and various buildings on Capri as we saw them. We arrived back in Capri, leaving us with a little bit of time to see some of the island. Paolo gave us our return tickets for our boat ride back to Naples, making sure we were all ok before he left for Sorrento. We realize we were lucky to have been able to visit the blue grotto, as it's closed more than it's open, but having had the chance to do the boat trip as well, we can honestly say that you wouldn't be disappointed if the blue grotto wasn't possible, as the boat trip WAS amazing. Paolo was an absolutely lovely guide. Very funny and informative, for whom nothing was too much trouble, and made the whole day a very worthwhile and seemless experience, and for that we will be forever grateful.
We stayed in Naples and took the tour to Capri! We thought it was going to be easier to hop on a ferry and go ourselves, but our tour guide made the trip more worth the value! We were able to get to a lot of the hot spots from listening to her guidance! Capri itself is a beautiful Island and a must see!
Overall, this was one of my favorite tours that we did on our cruise! We were extremely fortunate that Mother Nature cooperated and the weather was perfect for us to do the Blue Grotto that day! What an incredible experience! Our tour guide was also a HUGE help with this process because he knew we had to hurry to get there before the lines got too long and he was right! For our tour group of 12, it took us less than an hour to wait, go into the cave, and meet back in the bus! Typical wait is at least 2-3 hours just in line if you aren’t there first thing in the morning! Then he took us to Anacapri which is actually his hometown and explained all of the different places we can go and do in the time we have! Never felt rushed for a second and he recommended places to eat and gave the restaurants heads up we were coming so we did not have to wait! Then we went to Capri itself which is a lot busier than Anacapri, but he essentially cut us lose for an hour or so and established easy meet up points. Finally he gave us our boat tickets and we were back to the Port of Naples, no problem! Highly recommend to everyone that wants to see the Blue Grotto/Capri!
This tour guide was very thorough and planned well. We went to different places while there was no rush and not hot and cut out the long lines. Well planned. Even though we could not go INSIDE the grotto due to waves and clearance issues of the grotto walls, we were given a tour of the entire coastline from the boat. The guide was knowledgeable and very informative. Medium size group and all the events were organized, walking, boat and bus. I recommend this tour company.
Great tour! I asked if I could get picked up in Naples and dropped off in Sorrento, and they accommodated me easily. Went from Naples to Blue Grotto to Anacapri to Capri, with time to enjoy the things I wanted to enjoy...church San Michele with its beautiful floor, the chair lift to the top of the hill, lemon product sampling, gardens, eating lunch...it was all very chill and pleasant with Michele as our guide. If it had been impossible to visit the Blue Grotto, the alternative boat ride still sounded stellar with a potential other grotto (Green Grotto maybe?) and going through the iconic Capri rocks, so remain flexible and I believe you'll be happy no matter what. Grazie, ragazzi!
The whole experience was excellent! From the proximity of taking the go-fast boat to Capri, to the patience and knowledge from our guide Michele. The wait at the grotto was well worth it and a must do.
I found this tour to be absolutely worth the price. It was a lovely tour of the island, amazing sights and we were able to get into the Blue Grotto. A once in a lifetime experience!
Great tour with Francesco! Highly recommend the Seggovia chair lift and the walk to the garden for great views. Fun fun day
Our guide was fantastic and knew all of the tricks to make sure that the group enjoyed every part of Capri and Anacapri including the Blue Grotto - Our group jumped the long line of people waiting to head into the Blue Grotto. We visited a fantastic church in Anacapri that had a picture of creation on its floor.Everything ran very smoothly and we would highly recommend this tour if you actually want to really see Capri in one day.
Fabulous, fabulous tour, weather was good so we were able to go into the blue grotto, but I have to say not for 10 minutes as advertised more like 5 minutes. Had the use of a mini bus which took us to allthe relevant points of interest, recommend the chair lift lovely experience Time enough for shopping and lunch, great day and a great tour guide.
Great island trip. Our guide Paolo was more like a friend than tour guide. He went beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a great trip. We had plenty of time to eat, shop and see everything. The bluengrotto was closed but the trip was still worth every penny. Would do it again and ask for Paolo. You won’t regret it.
After struggling a little to find the exact pick-up point for Raphael Tours at the port (it was not well marked), the remainder of the trip to Capri was absolutely wonderful. Our guide Brunella was outstanding and took great care of us all. Due to rough seas, the Blue Grotto portion had to be canceled, but the alternative sail around the island was even better.
Perfect amount of time boat ride around the Island was a great way to see interesting rock formations adn the landscape our tour guide Luigi was knowledgeable, engaging and a pleasant
Michael was absolutely amazing. He even called the airport for me as my luggage was lost and translated for me. Our group had nine persons and we all enjoyed one another’s company.
We left from Sorrento's pier on 3/29 - spent an enjoyable day checking out both Capri and AntiCapri with a great tour guide. Since the Blue Grotto wasn't open that day took a boat tour around the island and saw all the other grottos, which was awesome. Great ending to our holiday in Italy!
Luigi was fantastic! He was friendly, informative, energetic and fun to be around. We had beautiful weather. Despite the Blue Grotto being closed, we were able to take a tour around the island to see the White and Green Grottos. We’d recommend this as a fun day!
Although I would like to keep this a secret, as a passionate traveler, I want other travelers to know: This trip was amazing. We were not able to go under the Blue Grotto because of the ocean swells, but the guide took us around the island and that was much better. Anyone with the time to take this day trip should do it. Excellent guide and services.
Our worries about doing this in December proved unfounded. We were met at ticket booth for the fast ferry. Weather was great but since we were the only two going we travelled to Capri and met guide Marco and two others coming from Sorrento. Tides did not allow blue grotto tour but we instead circled the island, visiting other grottos, the arch and the lighthouse. Then up to Anacapri and lunch before taking the chairlift to the top. Walking tour of Capri and then down the funicular and back to the return ferry.Great day, highly recommended.
We had a lovely day in Capri. Brunella was our guide. She was fantastic and was very knowledgeable about the area and spoke perfect English. You could tell that she loves what she does. Every thing was perfect on our tour and the buses were right there and Brunella knew the best places to eat. She even made reservations at the restaurant. I wished we were able to go to the Blue Grotto, but the island tour was just as good, as we got to see quite a lot. (You can't change Mother Nature). I also found it to be a good value for the money, because all the ticket fees were included and you don't have to think of nothing, it is already done for you. I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Brunella for being happy and smiling.
I was a bit apprehensive at the time of booking at this is an expensive tour, but it ended up being one of the best day trips ever. It was a small group tour and guide Michele managed the whole day's program very well and helped us stay ahead of the crowds. It started with the hydrofoil ride to Capri and then the trip straight to the very top of Monte Solaro. The weather was great and from there I could witness some of the most breathtaking views ever. I could have spent the whole day there staring at the various shades of blue, but well, we had other attractions to cover. So I took the chair lift down and after lunch proceeded to other viewpoints of Capri like the gardens of Augustus. It was very windy, so the blue grotto tour could not be done and we went for the boat trip around the island instead. At the end I was sad having to leave that beautiful island and determined to comeback some day.
