The tour exceeded our expectations. Loved the small group approach and seeing the different venues for making and enjoying local food

Our tour guide, Mattia, is the best. We had the most enjoyable, educational, and unhurried time throughout the tour. The food selections were delicious. The tour was well worth it.

This was a great tour focusing on the foods of Bologna, with a smattering of local non-food related culture sprinked on top (which is just what we were hoping for!) Mattia (our tour guide) struck the right balance of telling us about the food and letting the food do the talking, and has constructed a tour with a good rhythm of walking and sitting to enjoy food.

Wow wow wow!! This is one of the BEST tours we have ever taken! Our guide, Ricardo, was extremely knowledgeable not only about food within Bologna, but also shared a ton of information on the history of the city as we walked from place to place. He is also hilarious and could consider stand-up comedy as a side gig. Each stop on this tour had a section reserved for our group, which was an intimate group of 8 people, and we had a great time chatting and getting to know everyone. It truly felt like a skip the line experience every place we went into. The pace of the whole day felt perfect, nothing seemed rushed or dragged on for too long. The whole group was engaged and laughing the whole day, thanks to Ricardo! Now...for the food. MY GOD. This tour allows you to understand why Bologna has the reputation for food that it does. Everything was authentic, cooked perfectly, and full of flavour. Plus, the wine was plentiful! We left feeling extremely satisfied by the end of the day and also didn't feel overly full, which was super appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend booking this tour!!!

Hugely enjoyable evening. Learnt a lot, ate a lot, drank a fair amount too! Small group size (6) was great too. Also got a lot of tips re places to eat, things to do in Bologna. I’ve already recommended to a couple who arrived at our hotel, and I’d recommended to anyone visiting Bologna.

Perfect food experience with Mattia (Ambassador of Emilia Romagna). As a foodie, this was a perfect introduction and perfect selection of local and authentic food. I'm feeling more D.O.P. He is very familiar with the restaurants and the owners/staff, and it very much shows in how happy they are to see him as well as how pleased they are to showcase traditional Bolognese food. The food and drink itself is incredible and you definitely don't need to eat beforehand or after, the tour certainly gives you enough different pasta, meat and gelato, as well as wine! We really enjoyed Mattia's stories about certain parts of Bologna, and felt cultured to explore some more of the interesting spots. Thank you for a great experience, and we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food, good wine, and good company!

Our tour guide Ricardo was just fantastic! Charming, witty, intelligent and so knowledgeable about Bologna history. He made us laugh so hard throughout the day. Truly he was the highlight of our visit to beautiful Bologna.

Mattia was amazing. Very relaxed, great company and really knew his Italian and local food traditions. He owned the business so took great pride in his service he offered. A must in Bologna.

It was really great -- we saw a lot, but it wasn't a breakneck pace and in fact felt very leisurely. They were especially great about accommodating my teenager, who doesn't eat pork. We learned a lot about Bologna's regional cuisine and saw a leaning tower or two -- no reason to go to Pisa! The size of the group (capped at 7) was perfect and it was a memorable day. We'll be back!

Excellent tour. Plenty of food, all great. Lots of information about the region by a guide that obviously has passion for his home town. Perhaps best of all supporting a small business rather than a large company. Mattia is the owner of the business. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience. Mattia is a fountain of gastronomic knowledge and his tour of Bologna was a delight. Without a doubt we ate some of our favourite dishes all week on this tour. A must!

We started with The Best coffee! We saw how to make tortellini and we learned about Bologna. Stopped at many places and ate Way too much!

Guide was super informative. Offered an overview of the history and culinary overview of Bologna. Took us to fun places to experience the food & wine culture of Bologna. Would highly recommend.
