Most memorable moment was dancing parrot 🦜 and two mouses 🐁 that were playing on the ground. Also beautiful flowers, big leafs .. is amazing how big leafs 🌱 are compared to people.

We stopped in the conservatory because it was winter and there was nothing blooming in the park. The conservatory is small, you basically do a loop around the building. There are definitely impressive plants and a variety of tropical birds. It's probably a little more expensive than I think it should be but I suppose you're putting it to a decent cause and an educational experience. The plants and flowers inside were very vibrant - the majority of them look fake but they are just healthy and thriving!

This place never stops amaze me. I have membership here but each visit I always find something new besides the flowers there are new beautiful birds that keep me coming back. It is a well maintained place. Rain or shine to visit. Highly recommended!

Whilst I really enjoyed this indoor tropical garden, I was a little disappointed by the aviary aspect. It was not quite as per advertising - "free flying tropical birds". The tropical birds were in various locations on the one-way route through the lush gardens, and they did not fly - wings clipped? They were beautiful and colourful and lovely to admire, just not how I had imaged the scene. I only spotted a few other birds. I'm not sure where the "over 100 exotic birds" were hiding. The tropical plants in the garden were beautifully landscaped. It was still a worthwhile experience.

Very very small, but lively conservatory. They have ~10 different big birds that all have their wings cut so they cannot fly, they just hang around and climb in their branches. All kinds of flowers, plants and trees, I had never seen bananas growing before, so that was a thing. They seemed to have a mouse problem, but for me it just added value to see those little guys running around, probably not so much fun for the management.

I’ve been in other conservatories in smaller cities that were far larger. The plantings were beautiful and the parrots and koi were pretty enough, but we walked slowly through, examining many of the specimens and were done in about 15 minutes. I’d thought there would be more free-flying, smaller birds but it was only the parrots sitting stationery on their posts. Nice view of the city, nice gardens out front, but the conservatory itself was a little underwhelming.

The Bloedel conservatory is unique as in all the birds inside, are rescue birds, and one bird has its own trust fund ans its owner takes it for a spa once a month! It is quite a walk from the King Edward station.(expo line) It's flat, but still DON"T walk into Queen ELizabeth park directly on W 29st traffice light junction. The directions to the Bloedel Conservatory are for drivers. It will be an up hill walk from the road (the conservatory is on top of the hill) but follow the directions to the garderns which are very colourful and don't miss the sculpture Love in the rain with all the locks. The walk down from the is easier. The conservatory does sell a few drinks etc but most faciities are outside the centre. If you take the bus there, take bus #50 False Creek SOuth from Waterfront station bayb 3 in front of the station. It changes to #15 CAMBIE when it gets to Olympic Village, but if the driver lets you stay ( we had no issue as we had day passes) get off at Cambie and 33rd Avenue as this is MUCH closer to the path to the conservatory. There are few, if any maps and lots of facilities in the park such as mini golf, tennis and golf courses. On a hot day, take a hat!

We spent about an hour here on a rainy day. Saw many beautiful birds and interesting plants. It is on the small side but well worth a visit. The views of the gardens and city were spectacular.

We were standing outside, contemplating the massive dome, when someone stopped and advised us quite fervently to go in. We took their advice and were richly rewarded. Such a beautiful, calming place to wander around and so fun to spot all the creatures flying and scurrying about. We went on a very hot day and it was actually very refreshing inside, so don't let that put you off.

Many varieties of tropical plants and colorful birds. The conservatory is located in beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park, with lovely gardens and scenic views from its hilltop location.

A lovely place to wander and explore. From the multitude of plants in the conservatory together with birds and fish and paths leading right around the gardens a place to explore at your leisure and take in the views of Vanvouver. Finish it off with lunch at Four Seasons restaurant or an icecream at the kiosk. Recommend it.

It was interesting to see the tropic plants and birds and a decent way to kill an hour. However, from a welfare perspective it was disappointing that the larger birds (macaws/ parrots) were not free flying and seemed to be limited to a single very small perch each. Hopefully this isn't their permanent space as they appeared to have very little freedom.

Beautiful flowers and other plants, mainly tropical, well maintained, with a view exotic birds, mostly parrots, hanging out among the plants. But it's quite small, so it will only take you about 30 minutes, and the price seems a bit high for the size of the place.

This is a lovely place to visit and a good opportunity to learn about different plants from around the world. It is also a loving sanctuary for birds, as they are clearly very well looked after and it's a joy to see many of them flying around. However, the only info on them is through scanning a QR code. I was fortunate to find one staff member who was knowledgeable and could tell me about the birds from any photos I took. Another thing to point out - it's very small and you can easily get around it in less than in half an hour. I suggest getting a stamp, exploring the park (which is wonderful) and return later in the day to have another look.

Very tropical and enjoyable, a great outing for all ages and occasions. It was my first time taking my daughter to see the birds and plants, she was very intrigued with the fish in the river. It was a pleasant visit and we will be going back occasionally.

Good place to visit (if you are visiting queen Elisabeth park). There are interesting birds and plants but not too much species. Tbh, its a bit small but, as the ticket was ~$7.50 each for adults, I think it is worth the visiting (we spent 20-25 minutes inside). The only downside was the apparent mice infestation (we saw at least 10 walking around). I hope the administration takes care of that since (I believe) it may bring diseases to the birds and even to the visitors.

Totally worth a visit. Located in the Queen Elizabeth Gardens the conservatory is an inexpensive experience that is fun for visitors of all ages. The birds are fantastic to watch with stunning colors and behaviors. The visit takes approximately one hour and should be combined with the visit of the Queen Elizabeth park.
