Itinerary

Pass By: Valle d'Itria, Martina Franca Italy
Starting out from Montalbano we’ll cycle on secondary roads with law traffic to reach three different kinds of Masseria, each one with different architecture, type, traditional activities, and current economic vocation. Tour continues slowly on small roads lined by stone with drystone walls, rarely visited cattle track and unique landscapes. The target of the excursion is to show a different kind of Masseria located between Ostuni and Fasano and the key role the still have in Puglia’s economic and social scenario.
At the end of the tour, we'll go to an historical Masseria to enjoy a light lunch based on organic vegetable products and traditional pasta dish accompanied by a good local wine.

First our guide changed the time of our tour from 9:30 AM to 2;30 PM with very little notice. On the day of the tour the guide showed up 20 minutes late with no explanation or apology. The tour that is described on Viator sounds very nice. We were looking forward to stops for food and wine as described which did not occur. THe guide said "he decided" it was best to do a single stop for food and wine after the ride was over. That would be fine if we had booked that but read the description and they're still selling 9:30 tours with the same false description. I would expect a full refund from Viator and I'll be interested to see if they do the right thing. At the end of the tour the guide got nasty when I brought these deficiencies to his attention. Avoid Daniele, he's not a guide that should be showing guests the sites of Puglia. The scenary was ,at times, breathtaking in spite of Daniele's shortcomings.
